Description
The Nuraghe of Barumini is the symbol of the Sardinian civilisation dating back to the Bronze age (from 1800 B.C. and the Roman age 238 B.C.). It is a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1997. This incredible fortress consists of 5 large towers, surrounded by a village of circular houses. It is amazingly extensive and well preserved. ALSO AVAILABLE WINE EXPERIENCE (cost not included in the tour fare to be payed directly to the winery according to the tasting you will choose) At a brief drive from Barumini, among unspoiled fields where farming and shepherding traditions thrive, we will then visit the Olianas estate vineyards and winery, 30 hectares devoted to native Sardinian wine varieties. Here you will be welcomed in the wine tasting lasting about 1,30h, where you can relax and enjoy the guided tasting of 4 Olianas "Biointegrale" wines with selected local products. 1h driving from Cagliari to the sites 2h visit su Nuraxi site 1,30h. wine tasting and winery visiting 1h. driving back

Here you will be welcomed in the wine tasting where you will taste where you can fully relax and peacefully enjoy the guided tasting of three Olianas Biointegrale wines. Olianas
Built in 2005 this unique winery comprises a modern technical area and a more traditional one, where fermentation takes place in amphorae and via gravity flow. Natural fermentation of the fruit of our native vines, naturally grown in their land of origin. The juice of the grapes goes from the soil of the vineyards to the earthenware of the amphorae, free of alien elements. This is what Olianas wines are: clean, pure, Sardinian.

beautiful
the nuraghe is beautiful, excellent location, stunning view, and a very knowledgeable guide. What is truly excessive is the price of 16 euros per person. Another sore point is that small dogs cannot enter, so we have to take turns for the visit.

Fantastic Experience
Our party of three adults first had the pleasure of meeting Guglielmo when he picked us up at the airport in Cagliari. It was clear that his passion and knowledge of Sardinia was immense as he shared stories and history of the island captivating our desire for more. Upon reaching our destination Guglielmo advised that he could show us some of the history if we wished. We arranged for him to pick us up from our villa a few days later, for a half day tour to the Bronze Age archaeological site of Su Nuraxi di Barumini. He also became our personal guide around the site - absolutely first class! This place is well worth checking out.
