Show that tells the eternal struggle between good and evil in a truly beautiful location with covered stands. Beautiful masks and live music, we liked it also thanks to the written explanation that is delivered at the entrance.
It’s so silly reading reviews who say it’s boring. This is Balinese culture and you are in their country. We enjoyed it and would recommend!
simple structure but you can see that there is respect for culture in this attraction! There are papers in several languages telling the history of the dance. I thought it was beautiful!
Despite finding it a little extravagant, it's worth it to learn the story of good versus evil. We received a sheet talking about the characters and the story, just follow the actions and understand the plot well. I think it's a good experience to learn about local history. At the end you can take photos or buy them locally and they will be delivered in a frame.
DO NOT BOOK HERE. When I arrived with the scooter at the location indicated in the ticket, there was no barong dance (followed the link in the ticket), a local who was there pointed me to another place nearby but this turned out to be another Barong dance and my ticket was not valid. I requested a refund from Viator, but they said that the location was good (which is really not true) and I did not receive a refund. So I am very dissatisfied, and there is no response to my responses to the rejected application. That is very bad, so I will no longer purchase tickets because if things go wrong you will not get a refund. Ben Eichholtz
The show is worth the detour. They give you the history of the show in your language at the entrance. The dancers and actors are very invested. The decor and the dancers are magical. The typical Balinese dance is worth seeing.
In order to fully appreciate the Barong dance, please read the pamphlet provided. Read and follow the dance, which expresses the fight between good and evil. It's storytelling through dance. I appreciate the level of coordination especially between the twins. The facial expressions are important storytelling tools. The one we attended had a modern twist and one guy tried to be funny. That might or might not put off certain people.
The show was slow and boring and the music repetitive and not pleasant. Save your money and do something else instead. This is another tourist trap and pricy for tourists without any enjoyment.the reason why Ihave given it two was for the costumes.
a meeting of two characters played between 2 characters that we can inspire for everyday life. very impressed, hopefully this dance can be maintained in the future
