Along the way, you’ll uncover picturesque spots, meet passionate local producers, and experience the warm atmosphere of Southern Italy. More than a simple walking tour, this is a journey into the culinary traditions of Puglia. You’ll taste the iconic Bari-style focaccia, a selection of local cured meats and artisanal cheeses or the legendary Spaghetti all’Assassina depending on availability, accompanied by a glass of local red wine. The experience continues with a freshly fried panzerotto and ends on a sweet note with homemade artisanal gelato.

Basilica of Saint Nicholas is an important pilgrimage destination both for Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians and one of the most important attraction.
The cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Bari-Bitonto, dedicated to Saint Sabinus, a bishop of Canosa, whose relics were brought here in the 9th century. Here you will appreciate underground roman walls named Succorpo.
The piazza has always represented the heart of commercial and administrative activities in the city due to the presence of the city market (not currently in this area) and of the palazzo Sedile, which is the historical reference point of Bari city Hall. Today, for the citizens of Bari it is an irreplaceable meeting point.
The Norman Swebian Castle hosts the collection of plaster casts and temporary art exhibitions.
Piazza Ferrarese has always been one of the access points to the old town which, with its narrow streets, alleys and small openings, extends from Piazza Ferrarese - Piazza Mercantile up to the Normanno -Svevo castle. During recent restoration, which involved not only the square but also the surrounding buildings, a short stretch of the ancient Via Appia – Traiana came to light, built by the Romans in the early second century A.D.

An excellent way to see Bari and enjoy the sea breeze as you ride around the perimeter wall of the old town. Our guide showed us some of the key sites and provided adequate time to look over at our own pace.

Great way to see Bari and discover some spots to check out. We did this within hours of arriving and even though it was really hot- Giancarlo ( our guide) created moments to refresh . Really worth it!!!!

Bike tour with Eleonora and Toma. Highly recommended. Eleonora is super nice; she took us on a very interesting tour of old Bari up to the street of orecchiette. Being a large group, we also had the support of Toma, who closed the group and waited for the slower ones. Highly recommended.

My sister and I enjoyed our tour very much! Giancarlo was a fantastic guide - incredibly knowledgeable about Bari and its history. He went out of his way to answer all questions and even helped us locate particular places in Bari from old family photographs (from the 1940’s and 1950’s) that we had brought with us.
