Itinerary
Meet your local guide outside the iconic Gran Teatre del Liceu and leave the busy boulevard behind as you step into the hidden lanes of Barcelona's Old Town. Within minutes, you'll find yourself in a different world of medieval streets, local taverns, and neighbourhood stories that most visitors never get to experience.
Your evening begins the way many locals start a night out: at a beloved neighbourhood bar known for serving one of Barcelona's most iconic tapas, the famous bomba. Pair this local favourite with a refreshing beer as you settle into the city's relaxed social culture and discover why tapas are about far more than food—they're about bringing people together.
Wander through the atmospheric streets of the Gothic Quarter, where centuries of history unfold around every corner. As you stroll through hidden squares and narrow alleyways, your guide will share stories of daily life, local traditions, and the characters who have shaped this neighbourhood for generations. This is Barcelona beyond the guidebooks.
Walk through El Call, Barcelona's historic Jewish Quarter, and explore one of the city's most atmospheric neighborhoods. As you wander its narrow medieval streets, hear stories of the area's rich cultural heritage and discover how centuries of history continue to shape modern-day Barcelona. Along the way, visit a selection of beloved local bars and bodegas, from historic taverns to family-run establishments, where traditional Catalan hospitality takes center stage. Enjoy authentic tapas made with high-quality seasonal ingredients and prepared using traditional recipes. Tastings may include Barcelona's famous bomba croquette, Catalan cold cuts, pa amb tomàquet, homemade croquettes, patatas bravas, Padrón peppers, sausage in cider sauce, and other regional specialties, complemented by premium Catalan wines, including selections from the acclaimed Priorat wine region, as well as local beer.
As the evening unfolds, pass through some of the Old Town's most beautiful corners, where Gothic architecture, hidden plazas, and artistic surprises tell the story of Barcelona's rich cultural heritage. Along the way, your guide will introduce you to a traditional local sweet—a small but memorable taste of the city's culinary traditions and a perfect pause before the final stop
End your evening at a historic vermouth cellar, one of the city's most beloved social institutions. Sip a glass of traditional vermouth and enjoy a final local bite as you soak up the atmosphere and reflect on an evening spent eating, drinking, and exploring Barcelona the way locals do. By now, you'll have experienced not just the flavours of the city, but the traditions and neighbourhood culture that make Barcelona so special.

Amazing experience, Lili was a great guide!
Absolutely loved this tour, Stefano was so lovely, knowledgeable and engaging. This really was the best part of our trip, we were lucky to have a brilliant American family with us on the tour and it was so nice getting to know them too. Highly recommend.
Stefano was an excellent host! He weaved in history, food knowledge, and groups bonding seamlessly. This tour was a great introduction to Barcelona. Highly recommend!

Amazing guide! Very nice and knowledgeable!
Great tour of local tapas and wines in the Gothic area, our guide Lili was fantastic, we stayed at the last stop for a while after the tour ended. Great way to experience some hidden treasures of Barcelona.
Loved our guide Lili, wonderful food and wonderful history talk through the streets. Small group meant we got to take it slow and get to know each other and have a wonderful experience.
Lily was our guide and took us to five locations in the gothic quarter that we certainly wouldn't have tried ourselves. Certainly not touristy places and the choices of food and drink were different and fantastic. Thank you for sharing this tour and expanding our experience.
A nice light variety of tapas and wine, altho the pan tomate at the first stop was sparse and somewhat disappointing. Very pleasant walks thru quiet streets away from the crowds. If you want a walk thru thru the Boqueria market, do it on your own--this tour does not go into it. You might well decide to return on your own to one of the locations visited.
This was an excellent tour. The food was amazing and our guide provided the best experience.
