Pass by

As we make our way toward Montjuïc, we’ll have the chance to admire a truly amazing sight from the vehicle: The Face of Barcelona. Rising dramatically in the distance at the port, this enormous sculpture captures immediate attention. Formed from a cascade of letters and symbols that seem to float in the air, each letter is uniquely placed, merging to create the silhouette of a colossal human face, giving the impression that the city itself is gazing toward the future.

Pass by

Once we pass The Face of Barcelona, we’ll approach another of the city’s iconic landmarks: The Columbus Monument. From the vehicle, we’ll see its towering 60-meter column rising majestically above the port area. At its peak, the statue of Christopher Columbus stands tall, pointing toward the sea, as if inviting travelers to explore new horizons and reminding us of Barcelona’s historical significance as a starting point for great voyages of discovery.

10 min

Once we pass the Columbus Monument, we’ll head up Montjuïc toward one of the most stunning viewpoints in Barcelona: The Miramar Viewpoint. As we ascend, we’ll stop to fully appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the city. From this vantage point, we’ll have the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Barcelona’s skyline, the all set against the backdrop of the surrounding hills.

15 min

After the walking tour you will head over, in a comfortable transport, to Montjuic, site of the 1929 International Exposition and the 1992 Olympic Games, and you will see one of the best viewpoints to see the city.

Pass by

Once we leave the Miramar Viewpoint, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc, where we’ll catch sight of another of Barcelona’s cultural gems: The Miró Foundation. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the striking architecture of this renowned art museum, perched on the hillside overlooking the city.

5 min

Once we pass the Miró Foundation, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc and soon come across the Olympic Stadium. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the grandeur of this historic stadium, which hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics. The iconic structure, with its impressive façade and surrounding area, stands as a testament to Barcelona’s Olympic legacy. On certain days, the stadium is open to the public, and if we’re lucky, we may even get a glimpse of the interior. Visitors can explore the stadium and its surroundings, but perhaps most intriguing of all is the Olympic Museum, located nearby. This museum offers fascinating exhibits on the history of the Olympic Games, showcasing the spirit of competition and the athletic achievements that defined the 1992 Barcelona Games.

10 min

Once we pass the Olympic Stadium, our journey will take us to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), an iconic building that stands majestically on the Montjuïc hill

45 min

From Parc Guell, you will continue to Sagrada Familia. Here, you will learn all about the history and the intriguing mystical symbolism of the Basilica, tour the outside facades that are still under construction and see the incredible interior that will leave you speechless. In addition to a detailed explanation of the facades from the guide, your Guide will answer all your questions. **Please, note that the price of the tour doesn't include Sagrada Familia's ticket price. Ticket to Sagrada Familia is 26€ per person. You'll pay us for it after the walking tour. We will be in charge of getting them. You don't have to worry about external ticket purchasing**

Here, the tour will come to an end, giving you a chance to reflect on the beauty of the architecture we've explored together today.

Admission not included60 min

After visiting La Pedrera (Casa Milà), we’ll head just a few blocks down the elegant Passeig de Gràcia to visit Casa Batlló, another of Gaudí’s architectural masterpieces. Famous for its colorful, mosaic-covered façade and fantastical design, Casa Batlló is often referred to as the “House of Bones” due to its skeletal-looking balconies and organic shapes. Your guide will explain how Gaudí transformed an ordinary building into a symbol of creativity and modernism, inspired by nature and Catalan legends—most notably the tale of Saint George and the dragon, which is reflected in the dragon-like roof. This stop offers a striking contrast to La Pedrera and deepens your understanding of Gaudí’s unique vision and the architectural revolution he led in early 20th-century Barcelona.

Tour cancelled by We Are Guides Barcelona

We booked a tour for 2. The evening before departure to Barcelona, We Are Guides informed us that Sagrada Familia cancelled the tickets and they suggested that we cancel the remainder of the tour too, which had also become too expensive (EUR 175 pp ). The Cathedral knew nothing about the cancellation. At that time, we could not book new tickets for Sagrada Familia anymore. Guides claimed that this had never happened, but Google Reviews says differently. So I cannot recommend buying here.

We booked this tour to experience Barcelona before our cruise. Our guide Gloria was really amazing! She was raised in Barcelona so really knew the best places. We felt like our day was personalized to what we wanted to see at a pace that was comfortable but maximized our short time there. Barcelona was amazing and this tour hit all the highlights.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such a great experience with Gloria — she truly loves sharing her city with visitors. We’re glad the tour felt personalized and that you were able to make the most of your time in Barcelona before your cruise. Wishing you safe travels and we hope to see you again someday!

All over Barcelona

This was a perfect day tour for a comprehensive experience of Barcelona's tourism highlights. From walking through the Gothic Quarter to visiting great views of the city to seeing Gaudí's greatest works, we packed in a lot without feeling rushed. Our guide Miguel was fantastic. He provided a lot of history and took great pictures! Miguel also took time to get to know everyone in our group and made us feel welcome. Whether it's a first time in Barcelona or one of many visits, this tour has something that everyone will enjoy. A great choice for a 'day before a cruise' tour.

Operator response

Best day in Barcelona

Gaudi is astonishing, Sagrado Familia the highlight of a 3 week trip. Our guide Miguel was personable and highly knowledgeable. His insight and access made the fee for a small group tour well worthwhile.

A daytrip to remember

We had a really memorable day with Ana Sanchez our tour guide who is commendable for being professional. She exquisitely narrated the history of Barcelona and Gaudi’s masterpieces with so much passion.

Barcelona City Tour

The whole day was amazing. Our guide Miguel took us through a walking tour through the Gothic Quarter and then a coordinated riding tour of Guadi's Sagarda Familia Church, Park Guell, and Casa Mila. In addition there was a lot of information given between the rides between the attractions. Miguel was well informed and gave us a lot of information on all of the areas we visited. I would highly recommend this tour. It showed us so much of the city in a short time.

Not Satisfied

Some excellent tours have enriched our travel experiences in recent years. Unfortunately this one left us disappointed. Although it was a private tour our guide offered few insights; his delivery was like a memorized script with no answers for some fairly basic questions about history or meaning. After lunch during the visit to Sagrada Familia it started raining as predicted - we had raincoats along, our guide did not - and he decided to cut the tour short for fear his cold would get worse. Our 90 minutes at Sagrada was cut to 45 minutes over my objection. Then we were dropped off at Casa Mila, handed an audio guide, and our guide left for home.
