Barcelona City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour

Disgrace of a company, liers and thieves! We paid for our tickets, waited at bus stop 3, buss arrived, tickets scanned, however, behind us another one of their buses broke down, which led to the lady on our bus not giving us our tickets, as she got caught up in the concussion! They stopped us getting on thr bus to allow the pasangers from the broken down bus to get on, so they made us wait. Anyway another bus came and me my partner and our 2 kids were ushered on, never asked for tickets, which I couldn't have given ad the lady still had them. Went on th tour to stop 23, after spending some time there, went back to the bus stop to be denied, and accused of trying to cheat the company, and having them threaten to call the police on us and our kids! The bus kicked us off, we tried the next bus, only to be denied again, until, the driver of the broken down bus came to our aide, he confirmed our story, and reluctantly the bus manager let us on, we were not happy as they were being horrible to us and our kids, and despite the bus driver confirming our story, they refused to honour our tickets. After sending a complaint their now denying it even happened. It was their mistake for not giving us the tickets. Disgraceful! They really upset our kids! Horrible company! Stay away!

The advantages of this bus are the ability to get on and off as you wish during the duration of your ticket, having explanations with a multilingual audio guide, and the fact that there are 2 lines. The disadvantages are that the audio guide is not always synchronized with the location you are at, so the monument has already passed by the time you are informed about it; where the bus stops, it is complicated to take photos without getting off (with 3 children, it is complicated) and the price (33€ from age 13 and 18€ from age 4). I think that if you have 2 days and you are adults wanting to visit, do not hesitate; otherwise, it is expensive for what you will do with it.

The price through trip advisor was significantly more than they are charging at the bus stops so wait til you get there. If you have a baby in a pram they make you take the baby out and fold the pram up which isn’t ideal if your baby is asleep. Instructions from trip advisor were poor on how to locate the correct bus stop so we wasted a lot of time on this. The buses are very busy and if you need to sit downstairs in the air con for young family then you won’t see much because of how the seats are positioned and there’s not many seats downstairs. Definitely wouldn’t recommend for a young family.
