You will begin your Barcelona architecture walking tour at the Sant Pau Recinte Modernista, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the fathers of Catalan modernism. You’ll marvel at the largest Art Nouveau site in the world, which once housed one of the most important hospitals in Barcelona, still in use right up to the late 1990s!

This is an architectural tour led by a very knowledgeable guide her name is Linnette who is an Architect. The walking tour consisted of me and my husband and Linnette started the tour from a very nice building which once back in early 1900 was a hospital. We walked together for nearly two hours and she explained to us the history and the design of about 6 buildings designed by three main Architects including Gaudi who all lived and worked in Barcelona in the early 1900. The buildings we got informed about included amongst other Casa Batlo and La Petrera. We strongly recommend the tour !!

Valentina was perhaps the most outstanding guy that I’ve ever experienced. She has studied English and communication at the highest levels and was able to make every moment of the tour interesting. You will read elsewhere as to what a sweet and happy person she is and that too is true. She made the time flyby, and was very attentive to all of the members of her group. I would rush back here in a heartbeat to tour with her again. By the way, we selected her tour because we were stuck the night before with no availability and her company found us exactly what we wanted the tour we took required you to get up early and it is definitely worth it.

The guide was acknowledgeable of the subject matter which was a plus and we did see what was listed on this walking tour. But their were 12 people in the tour and his walking pace was a little to fast for the group. We did not have any listening devices making it very difficult to hear him as he spoke, plus the streets were very noise. As we walked from location to location, there was very little information shared about the area we were in, the local streets or the next stop and how long a walk it was. We had to ask questions and the answers were only shared with the individual who asked the questions. We did take two other tours with your company after that and both offered hearing devices and the guides seemed to be more at ease. Maybe the guide we had was just lacking in experience but it did effect our tour. The input here was from the 10 people on our tour.
