Barbate Almadraba Bluefin Tour

Many thanks to Charo, Diego, and the rest of the crew for the magnificent experience we had last week at the almadraba in Conil. We traveled with 4 people from Asturias to spend a few days in Cádiz, but the excuse for the trip was the excursion to the almadraba, and it was definitely worth it. Our excursion was scheduled for Tuesday, but it had to be canceled due to the Levante wind. This is where Charo stepped in, making sure we could enjoy the experience before our return trip, keeping us informed at all times, and finally organizing an excursion on Thursday at 6:30 AM to the almadraba in Conil, the only option available that day, despite the fact that there were only 7 people on the boat and the higher cost to Conil when the contract was for Barbate. The service was luxurious, breakfast on the way, some beers and soft drinks on the return, and as a highlight, a variety of tuna dishes upon arrival at the port. In addition to the catch at the almadraba in Conil, we were able to see the unloading at the port of Barbate, all thanks to Diego, the captain, who always positioned the boat in the best spot. In summary, we returned from Cádiz delighted; surely during our July vacation in La Barrosa, we will take the opportunity to go whale watching. If you are looking for a real and authentic experience in Barbate, this excursion to the almadraba is essential. We would like to thank Diego, Charo and all the crew for the amazing personal treatment they gave us from the first minute. We loved the level of attention: they called us personally to specify the exact departure time, as it is a natural process, depends totally on the rhythm of the almadraba and many external factors. That honesty and coordination are greatly appreciated. Diego is an absolute expert; you can see his enormous fishing experience and his knowledge as indigenous to the area. He explained the whole process in a fascinating way and also had the detail of recommending the best places to visit around. To finish the day, we were offered an assortment of bluefin tuna products with a wine pairing that was spectacular. It has been a 1000x1000 experience recommended for anyone who wants to truly know the soul of Cadiz. We would repeat without hesitation!

A personalized visit of 7 people shared with Charo de monitora and Diego el Capitan. I have given this experience to my wife for Mother’s Day and we have been lucky enough to have a splendid day with calm sea and hardly any wind. After watching the Levantá, La Rebotá and the Unloading of tuna on the Japanese boat, we have become like the Kiko of dishes of tuna cooked (onion, tomato and mozarabic) by the Barbatun restaurant, plus 2 specialties by Ángel León and some specialties of sdlazón such as ijar tuna, mojama and flagrillas, all products of Almadraba Tuna.

just now New Disappointing! Not a star would score! I really post these reviews so they don't tease more people. 200€ almadraba tuna route and it is really disappointing. If you do not wear binoculars it is simply a boat ride to see buoys and other boats from afar.The photo you see hanging is zoomed, so here are graphical data to see that it is not talking about hurting the company is to prevent others from falling into this trap. That looked like a gathering of friends hauling some food, liters, breakfast with the cheapest you can find in a supermarket, putting it like that on the go.. and tasting of canned tuna.. Excellent route, an experience to repeat about the traditional catch of bluefin tuna from almadraba. The staff on board explain it very well and the tasting menu very much according to the route. I'll repeat next year.
