Authentic Vietnamese Cooking Class with Market Visit in HCMc

I cannot speak highly enough of our instructors, Daisy and Angel! They were both incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, and gave us clear instructions throughout the entire experience. One of the things I especially loved was that we were able to choose the dishes we wanted to prepare. We picked several things we had never tried before, which made the experience even more interesting and fun. The class involved many different steps and techniques, with plenty of variety, and it gave us an even greater appreciation for Vietnamese cuisine and everything that goes into preparing it. We started with a visit to the local market, where we learned about some of the fruits, vegetables, and ingredients used in Vietnamese cooking. It was a wonderful way to begin the experience before heading into the kitchen. The pace and organization of the class were excellent. Everything was timed perfectly, yet we never felt rushed. Daisy and Angel made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable from beginning to end. And, of course, the best part was getting to enjoy all the delicious food we had prepared! We sat by the window, relaxed, and enjoyed an incredible meal — there was actually more food than we could possibly eat! This was such a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam who loves good food and wants to learn more about Vietnamese cuisine. We had such a fantastic time at this cooking class! 🥢❤️ We started with a visit to the fresh food market, which was an experience in itself. So much fresh produce, meat and seafood to see, including some that were still very much alive! Soft-shell crabs, toads and all sorts of things we don’t normally see back home. It was fascinating to wander through and take it all in. As a group, we got to choose three dishes to make: chicken and pepper stir-fry, beef pho and beef betel leaf rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. Our hosts were wonderful, making the whole experience fun, relaxed and really enjoyable. There was plenty of laughter along the way, and we came away with full bellies and some new cooking skills too! I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Vietnam. A great way to experience the local food, markets and flavours, and have a whole lot of fun while doing it! 🇻🇳🍜❤️

Daisy was wonderful! Visiting the markets in the morning was a great experience to do with a local. She could share with us what different and unique vegetables and fruits were and explained well what we would use in the cooking class. The class was organised to a tee and such a substantial serving when we sat down to eat. Wonderful spread of food , good involvement and learn alot!

I really can’t say enough positive things about this cooking class. I ended up being the only person signed up, so it was a de facto solo class. Both of the instructors were lovely, and the tour around Ben Thanh Market was long enough to be informative but not so long that you ended up hot and sweaty when you went back to cook. I was able to choose which three dishes we made, and the instructions were easy to follow, and the experience was hands-on, not just watching a demonstration. I’ve done cooking classes in other countries, as well, and this one was particularly good. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy Vietnamese food and want to learn to make some dishes yourself.

Daisy was absolutely amazing! The class was very hands-on, with lots of personal attention throughout. She was incredibly friendly, informative, and made the whole experience both fun and easy to follow. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the personal approach. Highly recommend this class and Daisy!
