Authentic horseback riding in beautiful La Mision

Our family had the best experience at this Ranch! Our teenagers were blown away! Their horses were beautiful, well cared for, and just lovely to be around. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and very invested in our experience. They took photos and videos that we will cherish forever. We made some real core memories here, and checked off a big bucket list moment as well. I can’t recommend these guys enough! Worth every penny!

This was truly a special adventure to get to ride with my husband and daughters (ages 6 and 4 years old) along the estuary and beach. The guides were wonderful and experienced, the horses were gentle and well-trained, and Erin was responsive and helpful. Definitely a trip highlight for us all!

This was the most peaceful experience I've had in a long while. Its just your little group on a peaceful ride to the beach. They can arrange transportation for you at a fair price as well. No hustle and bustle with other people you dont know. They are knowledgeable and the extra perk is all the pictures they take are free! I would 100% recommend and if I'm ever in Ensanada again I will definitely do again.

What a fantastic outfit here near the beach of Baja! Went on their Signature Ride, which took us through the neighborhood and along the beautiful estuary, then to the spectacular beach where the horses were completely at ease despite weekend beach goers enjoying the shore. The owner, Jose, is a lovely man, and his crew is just as professional. I was especially impressed by his young son, David (only 9), who accompanied us on a mare that clearly would have been a handful for any adult, but he handled her with obvious ease and familiarity as she was eager to "fly" ahead of us into the next stunning landscape. Jose and Jr., who were keeping us all together took marvelous pictures and videos of us throughout our ride, which allowed me to just enjoy the ride without missing the captured memory. I highly recommend going on this fun adventure, for any level of rider. It is well worth it!

We arranged this trip last minute, for a trip around Ensenada, a stop on our cruise. Fantastic experience. I ride regularly at an evening barn back home, and wanted something more than a standard walk hack, but something my non-equestrian husband could handle. It was very freeing going full-out on the beach. The arranged ride taxi was wonderful too. He took us to fruit stands and for terrific tacos. I can’t recommend enough.

This was absolutely fantastic! They were so friendly and helpful. The ride was beautiful and I got a chance to let the horse really take off on the beach. This was by far one of the most memorable parts of the trip we took!!

We had the most amazing experience with Horses by Jose! The horses are clearly well cared for, and everyone at the stable was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our group included my husband, our three teenage kids, and my mother-in-law, and every single one of us had a fantastic time. The ride along the beach was absolutely incredible—beautiful, exciting, and unforgettable. It was the perfect mix of breathtaking scenery and adventure. If you’re considering a horseback riding experience, I can’t recommend Horses by Jose enough. We made wonderful memories and would absolutely do it again!

Amazing experience. We had 3 adults, an 8 year old, and a 6 year old and we all loved it. Fantastic variety of riding and cruising on the beach was next level. Will 10/10 return the next time we are in Ensenada, all of our family that didn’t come has already been asking which company we rode with. The photos and videos they got of our family were great. The personalities of the people at the company were so fun. Overall an outstanding day of horses and fun.

My adult kids, different skill level, both enjoyed the horseback riding. The more skilled one much more than the other. Said it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Would do again!
