Your journey begins with a pickup from your Hotel/Riad in Marrakech at 9AM. From there, you'll be whisked away by our driver to the majestic High Atlas . Your first stop will be a serene spot where you'll don traditional Berber attire and embark on a, soaking in the tranquility of the mountainside. Arrive at Ourika, nestled at an altitude of 1740 meters, where the lively valley awaits. Set against a backdrop of fast-flowing rivers and lush walnut trees, this picturesque setting serves as the starting point for your adventure. Embark on a leisurely 1/2-hour hike through Berber villages, taking in the sights and sounds of traditional mountain life. Continue your hike, passing by a spectacular waterfall that adds to the natural beauty of the landscape. As your journey comes to an end, your car will be waiting to drive you back to Marrakech, arriving in the city around 5:30pm, leaving you with memories of a day filled with adventure, culture, and natural splendor.

The experience was good. We started the day very well at the pick up point. It was a little bit delayed than the original time that we thought we booked because of the traffic, but it was still okay. The the driving was nice and safe. First we made a brief stop at a nice view of the landscape were we took some pictures and there was a little market. After some driving we also stopped by a very welcoming and beautiful women bererer village that make argan oil. They recived us with songs and they served us the typical bereber breackfast food with diffrent sauces like argan oil, plain natural oil, peanut butter, and honey. After that we drove to the river to have lunch and the food and service was nice and fast. It started to rain heavily! Disclaimer: I recommend bringing a towel and comfortable clothes fir the little hike and maybe a pair of new clothes as it demandsa little bit of physical ability to go up the waterfall and "there's water on the way". After finish eating we had to pay the food, 300 MAD for two people. When we finished eating it was time for the little hike to the waterfall. We had to pay the tour guy 50 MAD per person for the tour. The excursión was around 1h long and after we visited the waterfall we returned back to the car that drove us back to our accommodation riad. The staff: driver, waitress, tour guy was very welcoming and caring, making sure that we're okay at all time tried to attend our request at all time (air conditioning, stopping the drive to use the toilet...) The total cost of the excursion was: Book 200 MAD = 20€ (per person) Food at the restaurant 300MAD = 30€ (for two) Excursion 50 MAD = 5€ (per person) Total expenses: 750 MAD = 75€
The Atlas Mountains are a stunning breath of fresh air after the busy streets of Marrakech. This is especially true when you have such a friendly and welcoming guide. Omar Imzilen spoke fluent English and answered any questions we had. If you visit Marrakech, I would strongly recommend taking a day out of the city to visit the Atlas Mountains with Omar.
The driver was amazing, we all felt very safe. Omar the tour guide was excellent. He was gracious, friendly and extremely knowledgable about the history of Morocco. The Berbers are very friendly people. The breakfast was excellent and it was amazing to watch the ladies go through the process of making argan oil. I would highly recommend this tour.

Next time we go to Marrakech, we want to visit you and your family and have Moroccan tea. I love the experience of visiting Berber people, going to the market, Argon oil Tastings, camel ride, and the lunch,,, it was incredible meeting your mom, brother, and grandpa and your friend who sold the pillow during the hike:) I could go on and on ,,,, it looks like you are not doing lunch any longer? It may be too difficult for your mom. You need to raise your prices 😂
