Gets you from the port to the tour stress free. Tour is pleasant, but a bit rushed. Allows for free time afterwards.
The tour could not have been more accommodating. There was a road closure throughout Athens that forced us to meet in the afternoon rather than the morning. We were on a cruise ship and had to be back at a certain time. They made all the changes to our arrangements and all went like clockwork. The tour itself was all we could expect and our guide was very informative and attentive. Highly recommend.
We arrived on a cruise ship and were meet at the dock by a very nice young man who took us to the bus. Our guide was absolutely full of knowledge and our time at the museum was informative. Unfortunately because my husband uses a walker we couldn't climb up to the acropolis but instead had a nice lunch and met back up with the group. Overall it was a great day
Only the best comments for Viator and the tour operator, my cruship had a delay of 1 hour and they managed to send us a private car to meet our tour just a minutes later, all the communication was super accurate and we feel always well cover and safe, the tour was amazing the guide was very good and whit great tales about the Greek culture , I recommend Viator a 100% as the prove to be very professional.
The port pick up was exceptional and the guide to the Acropolis and museum was outstanding. Could have used a little freetime in the museum.
I arrived in Athens with MSC Musica and I did this excursion: very prepared and nice guide (Pan), precise times and times respected .👍

Would be good to have had a microphone with headsets.

The description for the tour said it was a 7 hour excursion. The ride into Athens was very nice, the driver was very professional and the vehicle was immaculate. We were taken to a hotel to wail for other people to join the excursion. We had to wail 1 1/2 hours. We took many tours with Viator in Italy which were excellent, on those tours we were given stickers to identify who was in the group and we were given radios to hear the guide. This tour had neither. We had also booked a return to Piraeus Port, and were asked would we like to spend time on our own and meet the driver later or at the end of the tour. We chose the end of the tour. The first stop was the old Olympic Stadium that hosted the first modern Olympic games. That stop went OK, the only small issue was hearing the guide.
The next stop was the Acropolis. Walking into the Acropolis, the guide did not have a guide stick with a banner on it, she just raised a blue folder for us to follow. She was obviously very skilled at working her way through the crowds because she was always very far ahead and only very occasionally would hold up the blue folder. This meant that we spent a lot of time for the group to catch up and then she wasted a lot of the time just checking to make sure everybody was still with her.
When we arrived the guide informed us that this was the location where we would meet our taxi to go back to the port. She had no further details and said that we would just have to ask around to find the right one. The tour was over at 1:30 but we were told we had to leave at 1:05 to get our taxi The museum visit should have started at noon but it was already 12:25. The guide stated if we wanted to complain she didn't care. Instead of 1 1/2 hours, we had 40 minutes in the museum which was very rushed. At 1:05 we left to get our taxi and asked all taxi drivers but they all knew nothing. Finally we spotted our original driver standing over by the bus. This was the worst part of our trip
