Fantastic knowledgeable, patient guide, who is way too educated to be taking tourists around Athens, it's obvious:), but she patiently agreed to take our pictures and conducted a "History Lite tour for Idiotic Children (well, adults;). At the end of your tour you'll feel like you've underpaid that fine person, with a university degree and a firm grasp of Greece' complex history..;)
This tour made our visit to the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum so much more interesting and memorable. Our guide gave us a lot of fascinating information about the art, architecture, history, and culture of ancient Greece.
To be clear, this is a good guided tour of the Acropolis area including the Parthenon and the museum. However, at the time I booked it and at the time of the activity (late March 2025), the tour description did NOT say it’s a small-ish private group guided tour. That may have changed since then. For the price, I thought we had a private tour guide for just my husband and I. That was not the case. Once we learned about the group, we accepted it and very much enjoyed the enthusiasm and knowledge of our tour guide, Eva. She was fun and really knows her stuff. Also a fast walker. Would book this again but the tour details need to be clear that it’s small-ish group guided tour.
Hello, Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and that Eva’s enthusiasm and expertise made for a great experience. We understand the confusion regarding the group size and appreciate you pointing this out. Tour descriptions should always clearly reflect what to expect, and we’ll make sure this is reviewed to prevent future misunderstandings. Thank you again, and we’d be happy to welcome you on another tour! Best regards,
Excellent detail and amazing guide, Maria! She brought the ancient world to life and was super accommodating when we had an issue that needed handled immediately.
Anna was a wonderful tour guide. We would love to take another tour with her again. Anna had great commentary with a lot of information. It was a great first day in Athens!
Our guide was amazing so much history! She made it delightful. Her name is Marina highly recommend! She was always looking for shade and made us comfortable in every way
Well worth the money for the private tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we were able to experience the Parthenon and the museum at our pace. Would highly recommend.
We had an amazing time. Our guide, Alex, had so much information and kept both kids and adults engaged the whole time! Would highly recommend this tour. It was easy to find the guide and the entire process was stress free.
We had a fantastic experience! As the must do in Athens, to have a private tour guide and go EARLY in the AM or late in the afternoon is important. Anna was FANTASTIC! We learned more than we could possibly remember and she answered all of our questions. She made this journey so special for us. She knew where to stop, how to avoid the big groups, find shade, snag great pictures and videos and went at our own pace.
Our guide, Andy, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, interesting, and kept a family of ten safe. Great experience.
