On the 5:30 PM tour, the experience begins with delicious dolmades—tender vine leaves filled with fragrant rice and herbs—served at one of the city’s best hidden gems and paired with wine or beer. On the 12:00 PM tour, the experience begins at the Central Market, where guests enjoy a delicious traditional Greek tapa—seafood, meat, or vegetarian—paired with a classic Greek drink such as ouzo or beer. This first tasting sets the tone for the experience, introducing travelers to authentic local flavors and culinary traditions.
At the second stop, guests will enjoy a traditional Greek souvlaki, choosing between chicken or pork, freshly prepared and served in a local-style eatery. The tasting is paired with a Greek beer, offering a true taste of everyday Athenian food.
At this stop, guests will enjoy delicious moussaka, one of Greece’s most famous traditional dishes. Made with layers of eggplant, minced meat, and creamy béchamel sauce, this classic recipe offers a rich and comforting taste of Greek home-style cooking.
At this stop, guests will enjoy a honey and olive oil tasting, trying several different varieties produced by a local Greek family. Travelers will learn about the importance of these products in Greek cuisine while sampling some of Greece’s most iconic flavors.
At this stop, guests will enjoy bougatsa, a traditional Greek pastry with a crispy, flaky crust and soft filling, served together with famous Greek coffee, slowly brewed and known for its strong flavor and rich aroma. It was wonderful to eat around Athens but tour did not have alcohol but on the first stop. Loves tasting the Greek olive oil and honey. The breakfast food we tasted truly was a staple and saw the next day at the airport.

Food tour guide was nice enough but not from Greece. We were expecting someone from Greece with knowledge on the food and food history who could provide fun facts about each thing we tried. Sadly we didn’t get any context of anything that we ate, which was disappointing. The guide just shepherded us from place to place. Could have done that on our own. The highlight was the honey tasting. The lady in that shop did give us some education along with her samples.
