Elevated Athens

Our tour of Athens with Andreas was very comprehensive, insightful, historical, knowledgeable, comfortable, and well organized. Our group of four because of physical issues were unable to climb to the top of the Acropolis, but Andreas was able to get us to unique and varied advantage points so that we could observe the acropolis and Parthenon from elevated views from around the city. We visited all the sites listed in the Viator site and were dropped off. We visited all the sites listed in the Viator site and we’re dropped off at extremely close locations to each site visited. we had time to eat at the flea markets, but not quite enough time to shop at the markets. We probably should’ve opted to stay there and find another ride back to the ship. I would highly recommend Andreas and this tour to other travelers in Athens, I feel it was money very well spent!

Great day in Athens.

Athens is a very busy city and navigating it can take time and patience. To enjoy it best we highly recommend taking this private tour. Our driver was just awesome, Aris know how to quickly navigate around and got us up front / close at every stop. He did a great job. Over the four hours you will see all the main spots with plenty of time to stop, walk around, have a coffee/drink and continue on.

Wonderful tour!

Our wonderful guide Andreas, picked us up at the cruise pier for a tour of the city before dropping us off at our hotel. He was knowledgeable, prompt, and offered us amazing views of Athens. We thoroughly enjoyed the historic sites and the culture of the city! GAT booked admission tickets to the Acropolis for us and we were there before the heat of the day made it impossible to enjoy. All in all, the cost for the entire sightseeing tour was only slightly more than the cost of a taxi to the hotel. We were able to leave the ship at our choice of time and we avoided the long lines for a taxi.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! ❤️ It was a real pleasure welcoming you to Athens, and I’m so happy Andreas made your first hours in the city enjoyable and stress-free. We’re delighted you had the chance to see some of Athens’ highlights before heading to your hotel, and that arranging your Acropolis tickets in advance helped you make the most of your time. Your kind words mean so much to all of us! Thank you for choosing Greece Athens Taxi, and we hope to welcome you back to Athens again someday. Warmest wishes, **Marina**

Great experience

We actually had several tours we booked with Greece Athens Taxi. We were picked up at the port for a half day private tour of Athens including Acropolis and changing of the guard. Andreas was very nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Got dropped off at our hotel to check in. Since it was our anniversary that day, we had set up a pick up for a nice evening stroll and dinner by the sea. Aris was great picking up and showing us the southern part of Athens. Following day Aris took us to Cape Sounion for dinner and visit of Poseidon Temple area and pictures. What a great driver! He made sure to take beautiful pictures during our drive by the water and at the Temple area. Concluded our stay in Athens with our drive to the airport by Giannis, who is very punctual knowledgeable of history and Athens. Overall a great experience with no hiccups. Marina made sure to have everything properly organized, communicate at every step, to make sure our stay in Athens was great. It was and we plan on returning! Thank you all for a wonderful experience!

A fantastic tour of Athens with Andreas

Where to begin? GAT was so easy to work with. We originally booked through Viator but when our flights were delayed I worked directly with them to rearrange our schedule so we could still make the most of our time in Athens. We scheduled a transfer from the airport to our hotel then an afternoon tour or the sights. Andreas our driver was our driver for both. He was knowledgeable of the area, as well as, courteous to our “travel clocks”. We were a bit weary after travel, but at no point did we feel rushed through anything. He genuinely cared that we not only got to experience what we wanted in Athens, but also made sure that it was the best experience possible. Andreas was patient with my daughters who were very tired at the end of the tour. We enjoyed conversations with him and we was able to answer even some of the more obscure questions. The vehicle was clean and cool. We’d give Andreas and the tour 5 ⭐️’s without question.

Operator response

Andreas helped us see everything we wanted to see in Athens and made the most of our time. He knew exactly where to go, how to navigate the city efficiently, and where to stop so we could get some fantastic photos along the way. His knowledge of Athens, its history, and the sites we visited added so much to the experience. What really stood out was how personalized the tour felt. We never felt rushed, and Andreas made sure we were able to see and experience the things that mattered most to us. Great service!

We had a seamless pick up at the port, tour of Athens highlighted by the Acropolis and the changing of the guard at the President's palace. Our driver, Andreas, was prompt, informative, knowledgeable, and very friendly. We were dropped off at our hotel in the heart of Monastiraki Square at the end of the tour. We also used Greece Athens Taxi for the ride back to the airport. Again, prompt and courteous service. Very reasonably priced, too.
