The area of Monastiraki is full of life all day and night long. There are a lot of restaurants to eat but also a lot of places to enjoy coffee or beverages, looking up to Acropolis, the best view worldwide-with no exaggeration.
It's the only stadium built entirely of marble in the whole world. It was built in 330BC. It's the finishing point for the annual Athens Classical Marathon. The Panathenaic Stadium hosted the First Modern Olympic Games in 1896 and until now hosts the Olympic Flame handover ceremony

The acropolis was amazing, very crowded. Our guide told us very little and seemed disengaged. A lot of money for very little. Would not do it again.
I am really sorry for the feelings you have about the tour. As I know, you did not hire a guide, so you probably are disappointed with the driver who was not able to drive and guide you through the city. Guides in Greece are a separate profession and the only licensed professionals allowed to guide you.
This was awful!! The driver picked us up and asked what we expected. He picked us up at 9:00 and our ticket to Acropolis was at noon. He didn't know what to do with us for 3 hours. He drove us around for 1 hour and then dropped us off in square at 10:00 and told us we had free time until 11:30. Brought us to the Acropolis and told us we could walk back to hotel when we were done, because it was only 1/2 mile walk. Don't book this!
Petros (Peter) and Chara were the absolute best. My husband and I were on a cruise that embarked/debarked from Athens. We arrived a day early and left a day after we returned. Peter dropped us off and picked us up at the port and also on our last day in Greece, Petro and Ciara took us on a 4 hour tour around Athens City. The gave us 5star service. The car was clean and they were on time every time they picked us up. They were so so nice and friendly to us. Their pricing was so reasonable. I made my reservations online and made a mistake. Chara contacted me and got it all straightened out. She kept in contact with me as our trip got closer to confirm everything. If you need transportation while in Athens contact Petros and Chara. They will be so helpful and put your heart at ease.
Ms Chara, she is amazing, very caring and down to earth, we highly recommend it. She made this trip really simple.
Thank you very much. I enjoyed this trip a lot. Wish to see you again soon!
What a Fantastic Tour... Would highly recommend anyone that would like to see the full Athens experience by the Best tour Guide and Driver we have ever been with. Chara and Peter should have their own Tourism business, it was that good. Chara and Peter went above and beyond of all our expectations. Felt like we were in the car with Family. Actually even to the point of missing you guys. Thank you so much for an amazing day!
Thank you very much! Hope to see you again soon! The pleasure is all ours!!!! Enjoy your days in Greece...
