Departing from the centre, you'll climb aboard the Ice Explorer (a six-wheeled behemoth of a vehicle) and drive across the surface of this glittering sheet of ice. Getting thirsty? You’ll have a chance to drink pure, cold water straight from the glacier. Very good tour, a might crowded at 54 people per xfer bus & ice explorer, but all could hear our guide Sam through the intercom. On the ice it was cold & raining so we all climbed on board after 15 minutes instead of the 30 min scheduled.
Definitely recommend this trip! We had Emma as our guide, and she was wonderful - full of knowledge and telling us stories of the area, the geology and history of the people of the area. We were well looked after, with plenty of stops to stretch our legs and admire the scenery
This trip was truly amazing. It's a full day, but our guide Bobby went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. He also added a couple of sights that we hadn't planned. Well worth it!

Scenery is unmatchable. The information our driver gave was outstanding. Our bus driver narrated clearly and so easily while driving. He also was a very "even" driver....no quick starts or stops....just even and of nice speed to be able to take photos. Lunch was great. Our tour guide just did a fabulous job. He clearly loves the Canadian Rockies and knows the history.
What a fabulous day we all had with Roslynn Dagenais. She was a wonderful tour guide, and we learned so much about this beautiful country which she clearly loves very much . The scenery was spectacular eith all stops well timed.
We LOVED Jake! We had 14 girls on our trip, and Jake was perfect! From the historical knowledge, stellar playlist, and handsome looks 😉 - couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He made us feel special and we all laughed the whole time. Good luck moving back to the UK!!!
We did the Columbia Ice Fields Tour out of Banff stopping at Bow Lake and Coleman Creek. Our tour guides, Ashley and Poppy were awesome, made the trip. Would definitely recommend!
