Excellent tour, the guide is an astronomer and knows a lot!! Very entertaining. I will definitely return
Everything was very good, very educational and well explained. Interesting for children and adults. Highly recommended.
We are a family with two children, 8 and 10 years old. It was a very nice experience, educational for the children's learning and very attentive. Since it is so cold at night, they were very worried about us, they even let us enter their house to pass the time while they carried out the observation through telescopes. Once finished, they took us and we saw Saturn. An unforgettable night. For the first time we saw the most beautiful planet in our solar system so close (Saturn). We are enormously grateful to you. The photo with the night sky is our best memory without a doubt! Thank you very much!!
We had an informative yet magical experience! This team truly cares about imparting the passion they have for the stars.
Beautiful experience! The guide Daniel is very professional, in a simple and fun way he taught us how to orient ourselves in the wonderful sky of Atacama. Super telescope viewing with Renè. Absolutely recommended!
When someone loves what they do, it shows, and Daniel and René are an example of that. With the expertise they handle the subject with; the good vibes and aura they bring to the place is super welcoming. Thank you.
Very good experience. The guide is the owner of the place, who is also an astronomer by profession, which makes the attention and explanations very good.
The tour was truly amazing! Rene was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. We learned about navigation, star formation, constellations, and more. Highly recommend!
If you happen to visit San Pedro de Atacama, do yourself a favour and go along to Rene’s Star Gazing Evening. The program is called ‘Una Noche Con Las Estrellas’. We did – and it was marvellous and enlightening. Rene is a fount of knowledge when it comes to stargazing and astronomy. The Evening got off to a very pleasant start with offerings of gluwein and snacks. Rene followed this with an introduction to the night sky. Various stellar objects were pointed out with the use of a laser pointer and Rene’s encyclopedic knowledge was obvious right from the start. The next part of the evening was looking through the telescopes. Rene zoomed about from one telescope to the next, making sure that everyone could see what the telescopes were aimed at. There were lots of ‘oohs and aahs’ as patrons appreciated the wonders of planets, double stars, clusters and nebulae. The evening concluded with Rene taking photographs of patrons against the fabulous Milky Way. The photographs were made available on Facebook . Judging from the responses of the guests, a considerable amount was learned in a short time and everyone departed with a huge amount of knowledge and appreciation of the night sky. The Atacama Desert is a great place to view stellar objects because of the small amount of light pollution. If you’re here, it’s worth joining Rene’s Sky Tour because you almost certainly won’t get a better opportunity when you get back home.
