Senso-ji Temple
10 min
Senso-ji is one of Tokyo's oldest temples, boasting a history of approximately 1,400 years. As a landmark of Japanese tradition and culture, it captivates visitors with its iconic Kaminarimon Gate—famous for its massive red lantern—and its stunning temple grounds.
At night, the temple is beautifully illuminated, transforming into a mystical and serene space completely different from the daytime bustle. The Main Hall and the Five-Story Pagoda, bathed in soft golden light, offer breathtaking views and are highly popular spots for photography.
On this tour, you can enjoy a photoshoot in this extraordinary atmosphere while strolling through the quiet, nighttime grounds. It is the perfect opportunity to capture a beautiful, lasting memory of your trip with the illuminated Senso-ji as your backdrop.

翻訳:Experience the Vibrant Energy of Hoppy Street
Hoppy Street, located just steps away from Senso-ji Temple, is a lively bar district filled with a charming, nostalgic atmosphere. Lined with izakayas (Japanese-style pubs) glowing under the warmth of paper lanterns, it is the perfect place to casually enjoy local food culture and a spirited vibe.
Simply strolling through the street with your camera allows you to capture the essence of a Japanese night, almost like a scene from a movie. From late afternoon into the evening, you can witness local office workers gathering to unwind over drinks and food, offering you an intimate look at Tokyo’s authentic daily nightlife.
While it is a popular tourist destination, Hoppy Street remains a place where you can feel the "real" Tokyo lifestyle, making it an unforgettable experience for every visitor.

Tours to enjoy Asakusa at night
First of all, when I went to the reception desk, they were very kind to me, and I suddenly had no anxiety about my first trip to Asakusa!
During the tour, I went to Senso-ji Temple and looked around to take photos at various photo spots. The tour was in the evening, so I enjoyed Sensoji Temple which was different from the illuminated noon.
Our first trip to Tokyo was a great memory as our tour guide Norika took so many wonderful photos for us!
I'd love to join this tour again the next time I come to Asakusa!
Also, the Manrai Hotel where Norika works has a liquor store, so it was a very pleasant place. We were going to stay somewhere different this time, but next time we want to stay at the Manrai Hotel!
Pleased to meet you again.
He suggested that I take a lot of pictures, which was a big help!
We talked a lot during the tour, and it was a lot of fun! It was such a fun memory to go around with such wonderful people!
If I get another chance, I'd love to see it!
He took my picture while walking at night in Asakusa, and I was very happy because I didn't get a chance to have my picture taken. I thought it was satisfying! It was very friendly and I'm glad I asked!
Short and sweet Asakusa night tour with Norika. She was extremely friendly with my 1 year old son and was able to introduce the local food places to us besides bringing us around Asakusa for photos. She also tried her best to explain and converse in English with us.
Operator response
Thank you very much for joining our tour.
I apologize if my English was not always clear, but I was very happy that you spoke with me so much and listened so kindly.
Your son was absolutely adorable and truly brought a smile to my face.
If you visit Japan again, please feel free to contact me anytime. I would be delighted to see you again!

It is very worth participating in the night visit to the Asakusa Temple
We highly recommend this trip, and book a night visit to the Asakusa Temple on 1/24. The two guides were very careful to introduce the sights and food around the temple, the tour was rich and very friendly. Looked for many great photographic attractions that ordinary visitors didn't know, and took many happy and beautiful photos for the family. Worth recommending it to every friend who comes to play in Ashoka.

Amazing Local Guide of Asakusa Area
Our family of four joined a complimentary 1-hour night photo tour led by Hashimoto-san and Mr. Uddin as part of our stay in the Banrai Hotel Asakusa. We had a great time chatting with both guides as they led us through many hidden gems in the Asakusa area. We learned a lot more of the history of the landmarks and alley-ways that we wouldn’t know by ourselves. I have been to Asakusa a few times before but this is the first time I looked at it from a different perspective. Hashimoto-san and Mr. Uddin are very friendly and they are great! I would definitely recommend!
