During our ART & CACAO TOUR you will discover the secret corners and murals of Oaxaca in Jalatalco and Centro areas. Meeting and mingling with the artists in their studios and galleries you are embedded into the magical Oaxaca art scene. As you soak up the back stories behind the murals you gain a deeper insight and understanding. Inspired by their stories there is then the chance to create your own print in a studio and bring your artwork home with you. Finally during a cacao tasting in centro we sample the decadent delights of Oaxaca's chocolate beverages. Note: This tour is supporting the project "Grafica Siqueiros" for art workshops in jails of Oaxaca. Donation included in the price.

The meeting point is Meet us in front the entrance of the art studio SUBTERRANEOS. House number 510. Note that you will find the studio closed for the morning schedule 9:30am. We wait for you in front of the door:). Hotel pickup is not part of this experience.

This was a great experience. Marguax was very engaging and the tour was well paced. Great to explore the neighborhood and learn about the street art and block printing. Was also great to try a hand at block printing and the cocoa tasting was a great way to end a great morning. Highly recommend!

I love street art, and Margaux was a fantastic guide for the murals and galleries throughout Oaxaca. She was interesting and engaging, and I really enjoyed the relaxing day learning about the Oaxaca art scene, creating my own piece of art, and learning about cacao. We had a good conversation and the guide showed us some hidden graffiti and explained the political significance of a lot of the art that we passed.
I booked a private tour for my family of 7 (from 14 years to 80). Margaux guided us through beautiful Oaxaca and showed us many great Murals to which she had a lot to say. Not only got we to see he art in Oaxaca but also hidden boutique stores and cafes in different neighborhoods . Margaux showed us print workshops and explained everything about lithography and other printing techniques. With some prints and a great art project she supports prisoners. With some refreshments and her lively manner, she made our tour very pleasant and interesting. At the end, the chocolate tasting was a perfect way to end the tour and leave us with a big smile. A beautiful cultural and taste immersion in the beautiful city of Oaxaca, its streets, its inhabitants, its patios, its graphs and frescoes, its workshops of arists... Margaux organized a visit to the top, we learned a lot about culture and art in Mexico and especially in Oaxaca. What a wonderful journey! The walk all afternoon went great also with my 5 year old daughter, very interested in cocoa tasting... very different flavors. And our guide had adapted the route to reduce the miles. Thank you for all this richness and colors. We rescheduled other visits with Margaux throughout our trip. I really advise you to extend the experience with this guide so human and passionate!!! Among our excursions: Stay on the Pacific coast: turtles, marine animals, mangrove; as well as the day in Hierve del agua and Pueblos Mancomunados with its truchas farms, a treat for the eyes and taste buds. Happiness all this nature that surrounds us.

You get to see some places that you wouldn’t if you were walking around on your own. Tony was a great guide and knew a lot about all the murals that he was showing me. Plus, you get to make a little wood print and have a cacao tasting.!!!

Was a great way to get to know the barrio de Jalatlaco. Our guide Margaux was very knowledgeable about the neighbourhood and took us to see the many colourful and unique murals on the walls of homes and businesses. Amazing.
