A quick introduction to Armenia

Khato led our group today and was like a general leading her troops on an expedition. Yes this was a busy and fast paced daytrip into Yerevan from Tbilisi ! Khato spoke about all aspects of life in Armenia, history, religion, politics, war and economics, and more! And she did this switching between English and Russian - hats off to her knowledge, her effort and her bubbly approachable nature on this long multiple stop trip, taking in fantastic sights and scenery between the cities. The monastery by Lake Sevan was stunning, and most of the stops interesting. The trip is pleasant feat for all involved. If you only have 1 day to spare for a side trip or you want an alternative route to Yerevan this is a great option.

Armenia is worth a second look

Very interesting trip. The guide should get 10 out of 5 Stars. Nethertheless for one day it’s quite short and we would have loved to stay longer then the estimated time stamp. I only can recommend it if your interested to see and hear as much as possible in the shortest amount of time.

I hate leaving negative...

I hate leaving negative reviews but I am just back from several weeks travelling and the quality of this tour was really quite poor compared to others I did. The Armenian countryside and Yerevan are beautiful and well worth visiting, but we didn’t arrive to Yerevan until after 4pm due in part to how long the lunch stop at an average tourist restaurant was. I was surprised by how little English the guide spoke and he didn’t provide a great deal of information about the places visited (perhaps due to the language barrier). The “walking tour” of Yerevan was particularly poor - you are marched through the city very quickly with very little explanation of what you are looking at before getting only 30 minutes free time. I absolutely understand that the day is dictated by the long distances that need to be covered, but I felt like I learned virtually nothing about the history of Armenia and that so much of the day was wasted on pointless or too long stops.

Great time

Great time would recommend Armenia is lovely. Would advise staying an extra night if you can as it’s a far drive and the city is worth exploring longer

Thanks to HATUNA and a lot of complaints to organizers!

In general, the trip went great! Our Guide Khatuna is a wonderful and kind person! She helped us everywhere and worried about us! However, I have a big complaint against the organizers of the tour, at the beginning of the morning the driver knew that he had problems with the car, but ignoring it at the beginning, our trip was not the most comfortable. Our car stalled, so we waited for another one for more than an hour. We stayed in this oven for a very long time, without air conditioning, with the smell of fuel. To my complaints, the organizer started shouting on a phone call and saying that it was not his problem. All this ruined my birthday even worse. I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to our guide Khatuna, her human attitude and problem solving only kept us in the mood, and I want to wish the organizers - to adjust their cars and customer service!

Fascinating experience

It was a fascinating experience "popping" into Armenia for the day. Yerevan was a wonderful surprise! The restaurant stop off en route was undoubtedly where I had the best meal throughout my Georgian- Armenian travels! The guide was always very good humoured, calm and knowledgeable. It was a long day and yet on the way back he still went to the trouble to liven up the journey with a fun quiz on Georgia.
