Itinerary
A sobering reminder of the realities of war, the Arlington National Cemetery is a beautiful tribute to over 400,000 service members and their families buried there. Learn about the more famous tombs, like that of President John F. Kennedy. Explore a few surprising graves, like that of famed boxer Joe Louis. The cemetery is even home to memorials commemorating the disasters of space shuttles Columbia and Challenger. Along with a few carefully selected residents like Audie Murphy, your guide will take you to the Tomb of the Unknowns where you may even witness a Changing of the Guard ceremony. Walk these hallowed grounds to learn how the home of Robert E. Lee, whose Arlington House we’ll visit, became one of the country’s largest national cemeteries.

This was a 5 ⭐️Experience! Maribeth was our Tour Director and she was akin to taking a tour with a beloved & favored History teacher. I will recommend her to everyone. Not only does she know American History like the back of her hand, but she is a voracious reader of all things related to reliably sourced Historical Fiction and similarly well sourced biographies, etc. What a treat!
Enjoyed learning about cemetery and the Arlington house. Able to find my cousin grandparents.
We came to DC for a wedding, but added a few extra days to do some sightseeing. Arlington National Cemetery was at the top of our list of places to visit. It did not disappoint. Our tour guide, Amanda, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and personable. It was a hot day, but she was good about finding shade. She even brought along small prepackaged washcloths that she had frozen before the tour and handed them to our group to cool off. Now that's great customer service!
Our guide was Amanda and she was awesome. Very patient when anyone in the group wanted to take pictures and able to answer questions. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a more intimate tour of the cemetery I stead of just riding a trolley.
Excellent tour beautiful grounds great history came to Arlington Cemetery for a short vacation from NJ
Kate was great! So friendly and so much knowledge.
Kate was personable and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour and learned a lot.
We had a wonderful tour of Arlington with our guide Maribeth. She has a wealth of knowledge and answered all of our questions. I’ve toured Arlington before but Maribeth is one of the better guides!
We had a great morning w Maribeth at the Arlington National Cemetery tour. The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained, and the history and sacrifices represented there are deeply humbling. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Maribeth, made the experience even more meaningful with her insight and expertise. Watching the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was especially powerful. A must-see when visiting Washington, D.C.
We learned so much more with Amanda as our guide than we would have on our own. Great bang for the buck.
