Arequipa Tasting Tour
Description
This visit combines a walking tour through the historic center of Arequipa, learning about its history, some of its most important tourist places, and combining it at the end with the tasting and explanation of our national distillate, Pisco. We also tasted some local fruits and our emblematic dessert, Frozen Cheese. A different way to get to know Arequipa in Spanish and English (in French it is also possible but with prior coordination)

Traditional neighborhood of Arequipa, the first place where the conquerors settled upon their arrival in the area.
Before arriving at this place we pass by the Santa Catalina Convent and the street of the same name, in the Plaza de San Francisco we appreciate the imposing structure of its Church as well as the Fundo el Fierro artisan center.
The meeting will take place in this place, after the previous indications, it begins by talking about the founding of the city, the change it has suffered over time due to earthquakes, the Cathedral, and other details that memory evokes. arms square.
On one side of the Plaza de Armas is the old complex of the Company of Jesus. The Church and the Cloisters. The Church stands out for its baroque façade, its sober interior and altars covered in gold leaf.
One of the most varied and interesting markets that exist in Peru. An ideal place to see the products that are offered in the region, tubers, meats, fruits, among others.
Former cloisters of the Jesuit school and convent. The best example of religious viceroyal architecture in the city.

The tour was excellent! We got to know part of the city in a personalized way. My little girl loved the little alpacas 🩷 it's a shame that because of the national holidays we didn't make it in time for the ice cream cheese. My congratulations to Ms. Jessica for her professionalism and kindness.
I had a great time and a lot more about Arequipa than I was expecting. We visited the Llama museum where I learned a lot about Llamas and other Camel species, as well as about pre incan civilizations. Really enjoyed getting in-depth information about the food in the market and the history of Arequipa. Daniel really did a fantastic job. He was great.
We had a wonderful time with Jose : he really knows the city well and told us great anecdotes about the city. The market visit was our highlight: we tried different fruits and meals and kids absolutely loved it! I definitely recommend the tour.
Juan our guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable . The tour took a little longer than he planned because I was suffering a knee injury. He did not rush and gave me plenty of opportunities to rest.
Daniel was enthusiastic and very informative. He answered all our questions anout a wide range of subjects and helped us shop at the market. He clearly loves his pisco and we had a great time interacting with him! The pic is of my favorite pisco

Jose was a great tour guide. We visited the local market and sampled many fruit I hadn’t seen before, plus “stuffed potato” and the famous Queso Helado. We also walked around many of the lovely colonial era streets and learnt about the history of Arequipa. The 3 hour tour ended with a Pisco tasting which was also very interesting.
Such a great afternoon with a brilliant and interesting guide! We discovered new streets and alleys and lots about history, culture etc. Do this!
