Description

This is the BEST way to make the most of your time on the Aran Islands and visit the Cliffs of Moher! Inisheer is the smallest of the 3 Aran Islands. It’s located just 20 minutes off the coast of Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. We pick you in Galway, bring you to Doolin and once we arrive at the island, we get our bikes and head out for a 2-hour bike tour of the island. If you are not up for cycling, we can organize a tractor-drawn carriage tour for you at no extra charge. After the tour, we will have home-baked scones and tea while hearing stories from a local islander! Once back to the mainland, you will have the opportunity to explore Doolin and grabbing some lunch!

A must do

This was the perfect way to see Ireland as it used to be and get away from the crowds. The bike trip was lovely. We saw mini draft horses, sheep, and donkeys. The scones were delicious! Kevin was the perfect guide.

Fabulous and beautiful your

We had a fabulous experience during our e-bike tour, followed by homemade scones and tea! It was rainy the whole time, but it didn’t dampen the fun and beautify my of the island!

Great times... a must-do!

What a beautiful day! Well-organized, stimulating, interesting, and attentive guides. Thanks guys! A really different activity, but it would be better to do more cycling for those who are athletic... we were left wanting more... But the scones.... Delicious, and what's more, the conversation with the locals was a super friendly moment! A must-do!!!

Trip is not for the faint...

Trip is not for the faint of heart, the ferry ride out can be rough when the wind is up, even in July the temps were in the low 60’s, with a feels-like temp in the mid-50’s with the wind and occasional rain. You need layers and a rainproof windbreaker at minimum. Also, there are substantial hills on the island, so I highly recommend the e-bike upgrade. All that said, it was a memorable trip. Phil and Simon were just fun and knowledgeable. We had to meet our ride at 7:45am at the Galway Cathedral, earlier than most places are open for coffee or breakfast, so we had a makeshift breakfast of instant coffee and bananas at our AirBnB beforehand. We shouldn’t have worried about it, Phil stopped on the way down and we were able to get good coffee and breakfast at a cafe that even had Vegan options. The island is sparse and beautiful, the sun would shine for bit, then clouds would roll over you and hit you with a fine soft or grand soft mist and the temperature would drop quickly, only to blow out again as quickly as it came. We never really got wet, it was just chilly and misty at times. Riding around the island in the narrow lanes between stone walls while looking out over a wild windswept ocean was the kind of stuff I came to Ireland to do. Meeting several of the locals and hearing their stories and learning the history of Inisheer was fascinating. I expected it to be one of the highlights of our trip and it met expectations. Highly recommend it, but understand it’s not going to be a climate controlled Disney ride. Dress properly and enjoy it

Trip to Inisheer with Ollie’s Tours

My husband and I had an amazing tour from Galway to Inisheer. Phil was a fabulous guide. Full of interesting facts with a great sense of humour and made the experience that much better. We joined up with Sean when we arrived in Inisheer, and like Phil, he was a great story teller and fun to be with. I highly recommend Ollie’s tours. Definitely the highlight of our stay in Galway.

Awesome

If you are questioning this, DO IT!! Hope you get Phil as a tour guide. Our time with him on this trip was educational and he is a riot/fun!! We learned a lot of the local history. The day was filled with everything, activity, boating, biking, history, food and possibly even Guinness. Way to go !!!

Great Tour, Lovely Guide and Worth it!

The trip to the Aran Islands is 100% worth seeing. The island is small, the bike ride was informative, and it provides you to a glimpse into the past. Murph was a great host who was knowledgable, flexible, and accommodating. I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting the West Coast of Ireland. We had an amazing time. Thank you, Murph for the experience. It was a highlight of our trip.

Irelands Aran Islands Tour

What a great day! Our guide was excellent and the group size of 8 people perfect. The difficulty and distance for cycling was minimal, leaving lots of time for an interesting visit to the smaller Aran island, with the knowledgable tour guide filling in the spaces with stories, history and interesting tidbits. Very worthwhile.
