Apprentice Olive Oil taster for a day!

The experience was excellent, Mrs. Maria conveyed her passion for their business to us, even dedicating more time to us than what was scheduled.

Beautiful experience, very welcoming and very knowledgeable staff. We carried out oil and wine tasting.

Our olive oil tasting at Tili Vineyards was so much more than just sipping olive oil. The owner Maria took us out to the olive trees which were in process of being harvested and showed us how olives were picked. She then brought us inside to expertly guide us in the differences between brand new and one year old olive oil. But then the surprise while we were savoring the olive oil, out came bruschetta with yummy toppings, fruit, and other goodies to eat, along with a sampling of wine from their vineyard. A big hit with my wife was the sample of olive oil hand cream that Maria brought to the table. Wonderful couple of hours and completely worth the trip from Perugia to Assisi.

My husband and I spent 2 1/2 weeks in Italy and the olive tour was a highlight. Not only did we hear about growing and processing the olives we sipped wine and ate appetizers on the deck overlooking the beautiful valley.

This was a fantastic experience. Maria, the co-owner and Annalaura were so friendly and so knowledgeable. We thought we would just be tasting olive oil but they also brought out several delicious wines and homemade snacks. We learned so much and the farm was so pretty and everything so well organised. We enjoyed every minute and I thoroughly recommend it.

Maria was the consummate host. She educated us about quality olive oils, instructed us how to taste and provided a pairing with the region’s cheeses, prosciutto and bruschetta. Equally enjoyable were the several wine samples Maria shared. We counted ourselves fortunate that we were the only two at the table. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and Maria’s hospitality. If a small, intimate venue with a gracious, knowledgeable and passionate host is of interest, then by all means book one of Maria’s tastings.

We had a WONDERFUL time learning about the family, the olive oil business, and their winery. Maria was so nice, and passionate to insure we all had the very best experience!

As a birthday present for my partner, I had decided to give him a tasting of organic oil and wine with local products... and what can I say, it was like being in paradise, a 100% successful surprise!!! The location seems like an oasis of peace! We were welcomed by the owner of the house, with a big smile, a lot of kindness and a hug... who accompanied us on a tour among the olive trees and passed on all her love and knowledge, for what the whole family does every day, to create quality and organic products!! Fundamental for our health and everything around us! We were also welcomed by some wonderful little dogs...also super hospitable and full of love, who won us over with our eyes closed! The experience of tasting the oil was truly pleasant, we learned to recognize Quality!! Which is fundamental for an irreplaceable product like oil... I recommend it must be a Mr. Oil! Never take it for granted, especially for all the properties it gives us! Then we moved on to the wine....and I have to say Wow what a wine!!!!!! 5 glasses 5 emotions! Accompanied by local products that will leave you speechless! Lastly... given the occasion, we were also captivated by a fig tart, kindly offered... as the icing on the cake!
