This is a 9-day trek but one can do 2 to 21 days trekking/tour in the Annapurna region. The upper sub-alpine steppe environment harbors some of the rarest animals including snow leopards and blue sheep. Other areas of Annapurna trekking region are home to bird species such as the multi-coloured Impeyan, , blood pheasant amongst a multitude of other birds, butterflies and insects. Many plant species native to Nepal are found in the forest of Annapurna trekking region.

We had a great trip. I was a little apprehensive at first when booking online and paying the deposit. But Nepal Lion Tours proved very reliable and had great communications. We loved our guide Binod and porters Ritesh and Rahul and they were like part of the family by the end of the trek. They really went out of their way to make sure we were looked after and enjoyed our trek. Binod and Lion Tours were flexible with arrangements to fit in with any changes requested.

I had an amazing trek to ABC with Binod (my tourguide) and Rajendra ( my porter) from Nepal Lion Tours and Treks. They did treat me like their sister while I called them my brothers. We had fun time, laughing together with funny pictures, videos, games and they were always there for me, taking care of me from little details like meals, tea, pre-checking the room, hot showers, re-fill water, asking how I feel along the way, if i was ok from time to time like family and sympathized with my fear of barking dogs ( i had been bit twice in my childhood) as well as thunderstorm. They were there protecting me, comforting me with hot tea and teasing .. you know, like your brothers! Make me feel much better. And they customized the trip length following my pace and request without a blink. I was travelling solo and did not feel like alone at all. The trek, the sceneries were awesome, but Nepali people with all the smiles, Namaste greetings and honesty care are even much more impressive, deep down touching. Thank you both from my heart, wish you all the best!
