The UNESCO-listed temple of Angkor Wat is Cambodia’s most visited attraction, and it’s even more magnificent under the glow of the rising sun. On this small-group tour, rise early to watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat, then take advantage of the cooler weather and fewer crowds to explore the surrounding temples. Next, visit Angkor Thom, admire the Gate to Bayon, and discover Bayon Temple. We’ll take a break for breakfast at a spot near the temple area before visiting the Buddhist temple of Ta Prohm (known from Tomb Raider), where massive tree roots grow through the structures. Finally, we’ll stop at Banteay Kdei Temple before returning to the hotel.

I had a wonderful experience on the Angkor Wat group tour, and a huge part of it was because of our guide, Sam Vone. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the history, culture, architecture, and stories behind Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and kept the group engaged throughout the tour. What really stood out was his patience, sense of humour, and genuine care for the group. He was happy to answer questions, never rushed anyone, and made sure everyone was comfortable and able to enjoy the experience. His attention to detail and diligence were also impressive. A great tour guide doesn't just show you a place — they help you understand and appreciate it, and Sam did exactly that. The excursion was great. My tour guide Sam Vone was very friendly, talked in detail in very easy-to-understand English about the various temple complexes, and also made sure that everyone understood. Furthermore, he was able to answer every question and gave the best possible tour through the various temples. The transport by bus was also excellent. Furthermore, Sam Vone was very open to conversation and very humorous, which provided us all with a nice excursion. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially because our tour guide enabled us to have an unforgettable time with wonderful experiences and memories.

Loved exploring four temples and learning more about the history and culture of Cambodia.
