Itinerary
We will begin with a drive along the coast. On the way you will view of some Greek seaside villages and the island of Salamis (where the historical naval battle took place between the Athenians and the Persians). Our first stop the Corinth Canal. Opened in 1892 separating the Peloponnese peninsula from the rest of Greece and connecting the Saronic Gulf to the Corinthian Sea. You will have time to walk across on a pedestrian bridge to admire the canal closer, (if you’re game) on some days bungee jumping is an option.
Ancient Corinth, located at the foot of the hill includes the Roman Agora of Corinth, the temple of God Apollo and a small museum. Apart from its archaeological and historical interest Ancient Corinth is also one of the most popular religious destinations in Greece as this was where the Apostle Paul preached Christianity, was judged by the tribunal in the Agora and established the best organized Christian church of that period.
The temple of Apollo at Corinth is one of the earliest Doric temples in the Peloponnese and the Greek mainland. Built around 560 B.C.E., of local monolithic limestone on top of an imposing, rocky hill to the north of Acrocorinth, the Archaic temple was an emblem for the Greek city of Corinth, reflecting its growth and prosperity.
Ancient Corinth is dominated by the hill of Acrocorinth, the oldest and largest castle in southern Greece. We will stop here for some incredible photos.
We will drive back to Athens.

Great time and professional service. Thank you, Panos.
Panos and Dimitrios lead us on this tour . Dimitrios knowledge brought history to life We learned so much by listening to both of them. Panos was such a great driver very easy just to relax and enjoy the scenery
The history, views and experience were worth the trip! Terry was a wonderful guide. He shared so much with us. From the jaw dropping depths of the canal, the ancient ruins of the town? Exploring the remains of the castle on the hill and ending at St Paul’s workshop - now chapel, we were immersed into Corinth. So worth the time outside of Athens!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled that Terry's guidance, the stunning views, and the rich history of Corinth made your trip worthwhile. Your kind words mean a lot, and we hope to see you again!

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He went above and beyond to make our time memorable. We enjoyed seeing the Corinth canals as well as Ancient Corinth. On the way back to our hotel, he even did a drive by of the Olympic stadium for us. He relayed just the right amount of information, lots of fun facts but did not overdo it.

Ancient Corinth was really neat and the museum was also nice. Our guide, Panos took us also to the castle which was something we were interested in and the highlight of my teens/adult kids’ tour! It was lovely to see where the apostle Paul started the first church in Corinthians and absorb the history of it all! Panos was informative of the highlights of our drive and the history. We also enjoyed the Corinth Canal which was remarkable. We recommend this tour!!

This is a must see journey. We did it before the full day in Athens. It was a perfect pre Athens. Our guide was Chris. He was informative and friendly. He was a perfect guide. We were never rushed to see ever site. If we wanted an extra few minutes for grabbing a sandwich, no problem! The agenda was great. We learned so much on the history and about the people in Greece. Thank you Chris!
Thank you, Linda! We're so glad you enjoyed the tour and had a great experience with Chris. Your kind words mean a lot, and we hope to see you again on another adventure!
Terry was a fantastic driver/guide for our half day in Corinth. He met us as we departed the cruise ship and whisked us away to our first stop at the Corinth Canal and explained the history behind it. From there we had perfect timing between larger tour groups and explored a mostly empty Ancient Corinth and Archaeological museum. But what took our breath away was the view from the Acrocorinth. Definitely wish we had more time to explore! We finished out the half day with a nice lunch in new Corinth before heading to the airport. Would highly recommend this tour to all.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We're thrilled to hear Terry made your tour in Corinth so memorable. Your recommendation means a lot, and we hope to see you again for more exploration in the future!
We visited the island of Salamis on this tour where we saw the Corinth Canal. It was about an hour ride to get to the canal, which is located in the Olive growing area. We elected to add an Olive oil and wine tasting which was a great add to this tour. Our driver was outstanding, treating us like VIP’s all day. He suggested we depart at 7am given we added a couple of stops (Oil and Wine tasting) and when we needed to be back at the port. Overall a great day with a great driver!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled you enjoyed the tour and the added olive oil and wine tasting. It's wonderful to hear our driver made your day special. We hope to see you again soon!
