Great Tour! Very friendly guide, full of historic and fun facts about amsterdam and netherlands! Highly recommend!!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of Amsterdam. Axel was a exceptional guide who provided great insight into both the history and day to day life of Amsterdam. Highly recommended.
Fantastic Amsterdam History Tour with David David from Hit the Bricks was a fantastic guide with an incredible wealth of knowledge. He was extremely engaging, and his tone and pace were perfect. His enthusiasm came alive as he shared Amsterdam’s unique history, truly bringing the city’s past to life while seamlessly connecting old Amsterdam with the new. The tour was scheduled for two hours, but David generously spent nearly three hours with us. It was relaxed, personal and never felt rushed. An absolutely perfect experience and a highlight of our visit to Amsterdam. Highly recommended!
We had a great tour with Canadian Dave 🌟 Friendly, informative, humorous, enthusiastic and knowledgeable - even the pants weather couldn’t dampen our terrific experience. We would definitely recommend this tour and fab guide. Thank you for a super experience! Avril, Fiona, Lynne and Roz 🏴
Axel was hugely knowledgeable and interesting. We really enjoyed the tour and learnt so much. He answered any questions and even recommended a fabulous Indonesian restaurant for dinner. Would definitely recommend to anyone. (We are a family of parents and 2 teenage boys.)
We had a really great private walking tour with hit the bricks - our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the 2+ hours tour left us wanting more - highly recommended
My wife and I did the Hit the Bricks walking tour with another couple during a recent visit to Amsterdam. We also did their canal tour, twice, during the same visit. We enjoyed all the tours. We had 9 people in our walking tour group. Our tour guide Dave was very knowledgeable and shared his knowledge throughout the tour. We covered a lot of territory, but there were frequent stops so that Dave could talk about what we were seeing. Dave was a bit more conservative than the canal tour guides, but entertaining nonetheless. I highly recommend the Hit the Bricks tour if you visit Amsterdam, or if you live there and want to learn more about the city’s history.
Fab introduction to Amsterdam! Axel was informative, good fun and knowledgeable- what more can you ask for?! Kept us safe among the bridges and bicycles!
I had always gone to Amsterdam for specific art exhibitions and this time decided to see some more of the city. I did both an evening 90 minute canal boat tour with Those Dam Boat Guys and, another day, a 2 hour (slow walking with lots of stops) walking tour with Hit the Bricks walks, a sister company. The guides were the big draw. They were articulate, entertaining and informative. The meeting place, a 15 minute walk from the Central Station, is a comfortable office with character where water, a toilette and provisions for the boat are available. I felt at home as a solo traveler with friendly international travellers and had a great time. Small, personable groups. The only reason the walking tour isn't a 5 star is because while the Begunhof was on the walking tour description, we did not go as it was a Saturday and, I was told, far too crowded with concerts on. Oh, and if you are there on a Wednesday night, the related bar next door as open mike stand up comedy in English.
We had an interesting and useful walk with Axel. He took us to places and shared information thar were useful for the rest of the weekend. Ask him about the canals, he is really an expert. We followed his advice sbout the canalmuseum for instanse.
