Amritsar City Excursion by I Travel India

Amritsar Tour (2 Days) Arranged by our daughter in Delhi. We have lived in India and have visited most places with Amritsar being the missing piece. We had the two day tour taking in:- Golden Temple Jallianwala Burg Partition Museum Order Ceremony Extremely good value for money in A/C car with (safe) driver. Our guide Deepak is an articulate young man with deep knowledge of subject matter and a nice way about him. We can highly recommend the location and the company/guide.

We had an amazing experience because of our fantastic guide Deepak. Deepak was an exceptional guide for our day in Amritsar covering the Golden Temple and the Wagah Border. Highly knowledgeable, perfectly punctual, and wonderfully organized, he kept everything running smoothly from start to finish. He also arranged an excellent driver who made the travel seamless. Deepak’s insights and friendly demeanor truly made our day special—cannot recommend him enough!

Deepak communicated with me several times prior to the trip to iron out all of the questions I had. Deepak showed us all the best sights taking into account our needs. We had a good idea of our itinerary but Deepak made it 100% better. He even sorted our taxi at Delhi airport.

Deepak is fluent in English & Punjabi and perfectly describes the events that took place plus the history behind it so everyone in the group can follow. Only thing Viator had said there would be water provided but there wasn’t and it was a very hot day. Good to see the border ceremony once but I wouldn’t go again. Makes you realise that people on the ground have a lot more compassion & forgiveness than the leaders running the country. Deepak & Aman were great though and 100% recommended booking with them if you’re interested in this experience.

The guide Mr Deepak was extremely good in terms of management, organisation and knowledge.

Bhavdeep was an incredible guide, adding his personal touch alongside his deep understanding of Amritsar’s history. He was super enthusiastic, understood our likes instantly and charted a curated experience for us. He was also very generous to guide us to the Golden Temple despite late/early hours and bad weather! Definitely book an experience with him and Deepak :)

Deepak gave us an excellent tour of the Golden Temple. We visited the temple at sunrise and at sunset. Both moments were outstanding experiences thanks to Deepak’s engaging explanations. He also took us to nice restaurants and a great coffee bar.

I had an incredible experience with Bhav. The visit to the Golden Temple was truly unforgettable—he explained the history and spiritual significance in a clear and respectful way, which made seeing the holy book even more meaningful. He explained the traditions, the atmosphere, and what to expect, which really enhanced the visit. Afterward, we explored the local markets, where Bhav showed the bustling streets, shared insights about local life, and pointed out great places for shopping and food. It felt authentic, well-paced, and never rushed. I was also lucky to be there during Lohri, and seeing the sky filled with colorful kites was such fun and a real highlight of the trip. Overall, the tour was thoughtfully organized, informative, and deeply enriching. I would highly recommend Bhav to anyone visiting Amritsar who wants a deeper cultural and spiritual experience, not just sightseeing.
