King Abdullah Mosque
Admission not included60 min
The blue-domed King Abdullah I Mosque, built in the 1980s by the late King Hussein as a memorial to his grandfather, is open to Non-Muslim visitors.
The nave with an area of 1,615 m2 has the capacity to house 3,000 worshippers. It is octogonal and distiguished for not having pillars inside. Its dome of 35 m in diameter has a height of 31 meters. A source of radiation was placed in the middle taking the form of a golden star culminating in the Ninety Nine Most Beautiful Names of Allah surrounding the dome's neck. The suspended chandelier of 168 lanterns consists of three circles with the Holy Quranic Verse with the word Allah recurring on every lantern.
The fertile land is expressed in the form of a red carpet made of an ornamental textile of recurring patterns meant to direct worshippers toward the Kiblah. All the walls, including the Kiblah, the pulpit, and the Mihrab are panelled with wooden and marble oriels.
The Citadel
Admission not included60 min
Jabal al-Qala is one of the seven mountains of Amman, which the Ammonians have long taken as the seat of their rule in the city, followed by Greece, romans and Byzantines who occupied the city respectively until it was occupied by the Islamic conquest in the 7th century AD, where the Umayyad Palace was built on its top. Mount Qalaa in Amman emerged as the capital of the Ammonians.
Roman Theatre
Admission not included30 min
The Roman Amphitheatre is a Roman theater located in the eastern part of the Jordanian capital Amman, precisely at the foot of Mount Jufa on one of the hills opposite Amman Castle. Greek writing on one of the pillars indicates that this amphitheater was built in honor of Emperor Antonius Pius, who visited Amman in 130 AD.

From the first moment until the end of the trip, everything was smooth, comfortable, and perfectly organized. Mosa was an excellent driver — professional, friendly, punctual, and genuinely caring. He made sure we were comfortable, helped us throughout the day, and made the journey feel easy and enjoyable.
Amman was fascinating, and Jerash was absolutely spectacular — seeing its ancient ruins and walking through such an incredible piece of history was unforgettable.
What made the day even better was having Mosa with us. His kindness, patience, and great attitude made a real difference. He didn’t just drive us around; he made sure we had a fantastic experience.

A Day Full of History, Culture and Great Memories
Sometimes a single day is enough to leave you with memories that last a lifetime, and our trip to Amman and Jerash was exactly that kind of day.
We started our morning heading out to discover Jordan, and from the very beginning everything felt easy and enjoyable. The journey gave us the chance to see the beautiful Jordanian landscape and get a glimpse of everyday life outside the busy tourist areas.
Our first stop was Amman, a city that surprised us in the best possible way. There is something fascinating about seeing modern life surrounded by thousands of years of history. We enjoyed discovering the city, taking in the views, exploring its historic side, and experiencing the unique atmosphere that makes Amman so different from anywhere else.
But the real surprise of the day was Jerash.
Walking into the ancient city was like opening a door into another era. The massive columns, old streets, arches, temples, and theaters were absolutely incredible. We could almost imagine what life must have been like here during Roman times. The site is huge, impressive, and incredibly well preserved, and every turn seemed to reveal another spectacular view.
We took plenty of photos, walked around, admired the architecture, and simply enjoyed being surrounded by so much history. It was one of those experiences where you don't need to do much — just standing there and taking it all in is enough.
And of course, a big part of why the day was so enjoyable was our driver, Mothana.
From the first moment we met him, he was friendly, welcoming, and professional. He made us feel comfortable immediately and took care of everything throughout the day. His driving was smooth and safe, and he was always there when we needed him without ever making us feel rushed.
What really stood out was how attentive he was. He understood that we wanted to enjoy the day rather than simply follow a strict schedule. He gave us the time we needed at each place, helped us whenever necessary, and made the entire journey feel relaxed.
There were plenty of laughs and great conversations along the way, and by the end of the day, it felt like we had spent the day traveling with someone we could trust rather than simply having a driver.
The combination of Amman's vibrant atmosphere and Jerash's incredible ancient ruins made this the perfect day trip. We got history, culture, beautiful scenery, and plenty of memorable moments all in one day.
We especially appreciated how effortless everything felt. We could focus on enjoying Jordan while Mothana took care of the road and transportation. After a full day of walking and exploring, getting back into a comfortable car and simply relaxing was exactly what we needed.
Looking back, we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our day in Jordan.
Amman gave us the culture, Jerash gave us the history, and Mothana gave us the comfort and peace of mind to enjoy it all.
A huge thank you to Mothana for his kindness, professionalism, patience, and excellent service. He genuinely helped make our day special, and we are very happy that we had him with us.
A fantastic day from beginning to end!
If you're visiting Jordan and want to experience the best of Amman and Jerash without stress, we highly recommend this trip — and if you get the chance to travel with Mothana, you're in excellent hands.
One day, two incredible places, countless memories.
We will definitely remember this day as one of the highlights of our Jordan adventure

A Wonderful Day Exploring Amman and Jerash
We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Amman and Jerash, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our time in Jordan. Even though it was only a one-day trip, we were able to experience so much history, culture, and incredible scenery.
Our visit to Amman was a wonderful introduction to Jordan. We loved seeing the contrast between the modern city and its ancient history. Exploring the city and discovering its historical landmarks gave us a real sense of Jordanian culture and everyday life.
Jerash was simply breathtaking. Walking through the ancient Roman city, surrounded by enormous columns, temples, plazas, and beautifully preserved ruins, felt like stepping back in time. The scale of the site is incredible, and seeing it in person was even more impressive than we expected.
The entire day was very well organized. Transportation was comfortable and punctual, and everything went smoothly from beginning to end. We never had to worry about directions, timing, or logistics, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy the experience.
We also really appreciated the friendly and professional service throughout the day. There was a perfect balance between sightseeing and having enough time to stop, take photos, explore, and appreciate the places we were visiting.
If you are visiting Jordan and have limited time, we highly recommend combining Amman and Jerash in one day. They offer two very different experiences and together provide a wonderful introduction to the history and culture of Jordan.
It was a memorable day filled with fascinating history, beautiful views, and wonderful experiences. We are so glad we included both Amman and Jerash in our Jordan itinerary.
A fantastic day, excellent organization, and an experience we would happily recommend to anyone visiting Jordan!
Highly recommended — definitely worth adding to your Jordan trip!
