All Inclusive Knuckles Day Track With Accommodation

What a great guide and man Shalika is. We had an absolutely great experience doing a 2 day hike with him in Knuckles National Park (truly beautiful) He is incredibly friendly and good humoured, bringing a great positive vibe to the tour, and he is very skilled as a guide as well. He shared loads of interesting information about the area, the plants and animals, and the local people. And above all, everything went incredibly smoothly. He always made sure that our transport, food, accommodation etc was ready for us at exactly the right time, so we had a very smooth trip. And most importantly he is super easy to talk and connect with. We had some great chats and shared a lot of funny stories, which made the whole experience very rewarding. Charlie was a great guide, he speaks French very well and is a very good organizer. 2-day tour: day 1 in the highlands, the very photogenic mist (and a little rain!); day 2 in the tropical valley, with explanations about the plants and animals and a beautiful swim in a waterfall. We recommend it!

There are guides, and then there is THE guide. Charlie is kindness, patience, humor, and unparalleled professionalism. Thanks to university studies in botany, he will help you discover what other guides do not see, or do not know! In two days, we crossed paths with 5 different groups. And each time they were impressed by his knowledge. They all would have liked to continue the adventure with us. There is no mystery. Magnificent hike with our guide Charlie. 3-day route very varied, forest/jungle, rice paddies, villages, breathtaking viewpoints. We were able to see many animals, spotted by Charlie's attentive eyes. He helped us discover many fruits and spices in the middle of the forest. We highly recommend, it was authentic.

A huge thank you to Shalika for these 2 days of trekking in the heart of the Knuckles and nature of Sri Lanka. A discovery of the endemic fauna, the rich flora of the country, beautiful and green landscapes and moments of life in the company of a great person that we are not about to forget!! As a solo woman traveller, I would 100% recommend doing a hiking tour with Charlie. We spent 2 days in the Knuckles mountains together - the 1st day just two of us and the 2nd day we were joined by a lovely French couple. Charlie was great and I felt completely safe throughout - I was really nervous beforehand about the hike (especially as I had booked it very last minute and am not a particularly experienced hiker) but Charlie gave me lots of pep talks to keep me calm, had a wonderful sense of humour and the perfect balance between walking/resting and chatting/quiet time. The views were beautiful and we swam in waterfalls. Charlie is also a GREAT photographer - particularly ideal for solo travellers! We stayed in lovely mountain cabins and all food and transfers were organised. His English is really excellent (as is his French from what I hear), and he is really knowledgeable about plants and animals. You can’t get a better guide than Charlie! He will keep you safe, well fed and in good spirits!
