The Alhambra
Admission not included60 min
The Alhambra, located on the Sabica hill, is an Andalusian palatine city.
Its name comes from the reddish colour of its walls, coming from the clay of the land itself (Al-Hamra in Arabic).
It is formed by a group of palaces, gardens and fortress where there was a citadel within the city of Granada itself, its main function was to serve as accommodation for the monarch and the court of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada. There are also Christian settlements, such as the palace of Charles V and the church of Santa Maria, built on top of the old mosque.
It is one of the most visited monuments in Spain and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984.
Enjoy the visit with an official guide.
Palace of Carlos V
20 min
Carlos V's palace is a Renaissance construction by the architect Pedro Machuca. The palace is unique in its style, forming a square with a circular courtyard inscribed inside. It is the most outstanding work of the Spanish Renaissance.
Generalife
Admission not included45 min
The Generalife is the villa with gardens used by the Muslim kings of Granada as a place of retreat and rest. It was conceived as a rural villa, where ornamental gardens, orchards and architecture were integrated in the vicinity of the Alhambra.
The name we give to the Generalife complex literally means Yannat al-Arif: "The Architect's Garden", an allusion to the gardens and orchards that supplied fruit and vegetables to the Nasrid court. However, the palace to which we are heading, designed as a resting place for the monarch, was what the poet Ibn al-Jayyab called "the royal house of happiness".
Alcazaba
Admission not included30 min
The Alcazaba is the oldest part of the Alhambra, from the Arabic: القصبة al-qaṣbah (citadel) was a fortified enclosure of urban character, whose function was to serve as royal residence to Mohamed I until the Palaces were finished, from there its function was purely military.

Fake ticket sales
Don’t choose My top tour since they sell fake tickets! We had bought our tickets for a full guided tour and when we got there they said there was a mistake and we had no tickets!!!
Travelled all the way to Granada, had planned everything right to visit Alhambra and they just cancelled us! Terrible experience and even worse customer support.

Excellent highly recommend Valery
We forgot to book early and ended up with a 5pm tour that we thought was bad timing as it was the hottest part of the day. We ended up with a completely private tour for just the two of us with Valery. Her English language skills were superb along with her local knowledge. Her passion for Alhambra shone through especially as she told us about the recent closure of the tower due to earth quake crack! The breeze kept the tour really comfortable as Valery taught us more about the culture and history. We hope she gets her wedding at the Alhambra ;)

Unfortunately I could not have any experience due to cancellation
Stupefied, perplexed, extremely angry. A bunch of unprofessional people.
In March I bought a guided tour of the Alhambra including the Nasrid Palaces and Generalife for September 22. On the 19th they sent me a WhatsApp that my reservation was canceled due to lack of ticket availability!!!! Paid for in March!! And obviously, with no option to visit three days before our visit to Granada. They refund your money and they don't care at all!! That said, once you make the reservation you can neither modify nor cancel. Never again with these disreputable guys!! They have left us without the main reason for our visit to Granada.

Terrible so called Alhambra Tour
Absolutely a rip off. The description of the sold tour was so vague that everyone in the tour was astounded of this useless tour, just seeing some trees!!!
Waste of time and money.

No Nazrid Palaces, no Alcazaba. Hugely disappointing
The reason I have given a low rating is because the tour did not include the Nazrid Palaces, the thing that I and everyone most wants to see at the Alhambra. The website is very confusing - for the tour I booked (Alhambra Guided Tour: Ticket with Licensed Guide), it says "Nasrid Palaces (if you choose this option)", but when you book the tour, there's no opportunity to choose that option, and as soon as I completed the process I was stuck with what I'd committed to.
I thought I was on the official website for the Alhambra but I wasn't, it was a private tour company called My Top Tour, and the confirmation email came from Al-Andalus Tours. Another private operator. There was no chance to update the booking or add the Nazrid Palace option, including on the day when you meet the people from My Top Tour and it's too late because there are no places left. So I went to the Alhambra in Granada and never got to see the Nazrid Palaces. Which is like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower, or going to Cairo and not seeing the Pyramids. Why are tours being offered to the Alhambra that don't include the best part? Is it to deceive careless tourists like me? To keep the numbers down at the Nazrid Palaces while keeping the money coming in?
Yes I should have been more careful when I booked the tour, but the website does not make things clear. They need to fix their website and their offerings so that every tour either definitely DOES or definitely DOES NOT include the Nazrid Palaces.
I would have been happy to pay more money for a tour that did include the Nazrid Palaces, had I known what was going to happen.
The guide Andrea was good, but the tour was supposed to be 2-4 hours, and it was over in just over an hour - the Alcazaba was closed, so I didn't even get to see that. Hugely disappointing. I will never get another chance to go back to Granada in my lifetime.

The tour in 18th Aug 2026 at 10:30-11:00 have been cancelled because of earthquake circumstances at the region and safety just at the beginning, and we could not get back any info but the Viator company did not notice us and refund our payment…

Ticket pickup just before the activity
Very nice visit, obtaining tickets only 15 minutes before.
I arrived early and waited for 1 hour.
