Welcome to Alcala de Henares! With Local, Native and Certified Guides, you will get to know a city with more than 2,000 years of history. We will discover the first University City in the world designed by Cardinal Cisneros, the coexistence in the Alcala of the "3 Cultures" and, of course, the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes. We will start at Plaza de las Bernardas, a quiet corner, reserving the University for the end! All with curiosities, fun explanations and a final game. We will visit: Archbishop’s Palace, Magisterial Cathedral, Calle Mayor, Casa Natal de Cervantes, Plaza de Cervantes, Corral de Comedies, Chapel of the Hearer, University of Alcala, and more! Important! For a better experience, visits of 20 people max. and according to the opening of the monuments: · 10 : 00h - We enter the Casa Natal de Cervantes. · 12:00h and 17:00h - We enter the Chapel of the Hearer. · 19:00h - Due to the closing hours of monuments, we will enjoy the tour from the outside. If you share what they believe, they throw it in your face
The guide explained it very well...the bad thing is the company...if you don't give them the money they think you should, being a free tour...they send you WhatsApps throwing it in your face...we will not return

Y con razón, pagar 20€ siendo un grupo de 8 personas, nos parece vergonzoso. Por eso les escribimos, y fue de manera respetuosa, aceptando vuestra decisión. La recomendación de un Freetour es 10€ por adulto, por eso el Tour también lo tenemos en plataformas de pago por el precio de 10€. Creemos que es una falta de respeto al Guía, a nuestro sector y a la gente que paga el servicio ya sea de pago o por Freetour. Es nuestra recomendación, si actúa así con más Freetour le aseguro que el resto de Guías no les parecerá bien. Si hubiesen pagado 60€ sería algo normal, pero 20€ siendo un grupo de 8, es toda una falta de respeto y encima se quejan...

Origin and development of the Complutense University
It is gratifying to meet a young person who wants to share with others what they feel about their own cultural heritage. David engagingly teaches the birth and development of the Complutense University based on the work and legacy of Cardinal Cisneros, through the Golden Age. Through his guidance, I have learned what life and the university environment were like, why the university building is as it is, what functions its different areas served, the symbolism (which conveys both the presence of religious and political power associated with it, as well as the ideological and philosophical foundations that give it meaning), among other issues. It has been almost two hours of lively conversation learning why Alcalá is a World Heritage Site, and why Cisneros is such an important figure for the city and Spain.
