Alberobello and Matera Bus Tour, from Bari

Description
In this tour we will visit the wonderful town of Alberobello (also known as the city of trulli) and Matera Alberobello was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996 because it is an exceptional example of building construction with prehistoric techniques that have survived intact and are still functioning in the modern world. A "Trullo" is in fact a small limestone house, made with dry stone walls, roughly worked limestone blocks collected from nearby fields and topped with a conical roof. Souvenir shops, B&Bs, bars and restaurants will brighten up your stay in Alberobello. Matera is the city of the Sassi, the original urban nucleus, developed from natural caves dug into the rock and subsequently modeled into increasingly complex structures within two large natural amphitheatres that are the Sasso Caveoso and the Sasso Barisano.

Excellent!!! The bus was in good condition with plenty of air conditioning and very clean; they give you a written guide that has a QR code and it maps out the route on Google Maps, which is great, plus it explains everything! Mind you, arrive 30 minutes before the meeting time because even though it says it leaves at 8:30, the bus leaves earlier, so you would miss the trip ❤️
Excellent! Guides Alessia and Pasquale were helpful knowledgeable and passionate about their work!! Highly recommend.
It was nice, especially Matera. Without the tour it is hard to be so efficient and see 2 in one visit. Would do it again like this. There is plenty of time for both cities. Alessia was super nice and supportive from alberobello till the end, while the guide from Matera (pascuale i believe) was one of a kind! Great job, both of you! The weather was not our friend (super hot in aug), be prepared with water and at least a cap :) the transport was great, clean AC etc.
I knew it was just the bus trip to Alberobello and Matera for €55, but it is not true that you have 3h to visit the first one and 4h for the second, it is reduced much more. The thing is that if you do not want to rent a car, this option is reasonably okay. If you want to take a bus from Bari without booking a tour, you have to do Alberobello one day and Matera another day, since there is no good transport connection between them.
We only did the bus transfers, no guided tours or extra tickets, but it was exactly as we expected! Our driver was great, the whole day was timely, and we had plenty of time to explore both towns on our own. Clear instructions and plans for the whole day.
It was just a bus ride to and from it place. There was no verbal explanation of the history or anything. A booklet with some info was handed out on the bus for you to read. The bus let off and pick up locations were so far from the attractions. I expected a whole lot more.
How wonderful it is to discover incredible places and stories! Between the brilliant Selenia and her patience and empathy, with her ability to speak different languages, plus Cossimo in Matera… and Massimo driving the bus…
I sought a refund from a prior tour as there was confusion regarding the departure point. The company declined & I believe has a very low understanding of ethical. behaviour
The bus tour did not have a German guide in Matera as specifically requested. That was very disappointing for the child. The air conditioning in the bus did not work in 38-40 degree heat, which made everything an unbearable excursion. However, the audio guide and digital documents are top-notch. The cities are worth seeing and beautiful. Recommendation: Take this tour in the spring or autumn.
This was a great way to visit two UNESCO Heritage Sites in one day. I strongly recommend taking the additional guided tour in Matera, it is a huge area to explore on your own, and the guide was great.
