An Excellent Tour
An excellent tour. Our driver, Peter, was charming and an excellent, safe, driver.
Peter does not act as a guide so you need to appoint one at each location. At the Temples we were dropped off at the top of the valley and walked down to be met at the bottom. We didn't take the audio guide because we were told we had to to return it to the top but hadn't realised that Peter had planned to return us to the top after the tour. There are plenty of information boards, in English, but I suggest that you get the audio guide!
The Roman mosaics were the most incredible that I have ever seen. We had a guide who was excellent and whizzed us round in the time that we had available to us. We had lunch on arrival but should not have lingered over it as you need as much time as possible to view the mosaics.
The food and wine tasting was a bit underwhelming after the visits to the archaelogical sites but it was fun to taste the different olive oils and the honey variations.
We drove through an incredible hail storm which was fascinating!

Magnificent mosaics
A long and amazing day visiting the ruins of Arigento. A downhill walk made the visit pleasant on a hot day. The ruins are spectacular and wellworth a visit.
The highlight for us was the mosaics in the Villa. Truly magnificent! What masters they were!

Extraordinary tour to extraordinary sites
Extraordinary classical sites. Despite the rain and cold, both places are unforgettable. And both Alessio and Roberto were fantastic. All well organized. You guys made it a special day!

This is the tour you don’t want to miss
Absolutely loved the tour. I was on a solo trip in Catania, and this was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. If you’re planning on booking a tour, this is the one you want to book. We had plenty of time to visit the sites, and our driver Peter was the absolute best. Highly recommend.

Great experience
I went on this day tour with my grandmother. Peter was our tour guide and was very accommodating. He shared some good places to eat on the day, we drove past scenic views and listened to grandmother's favourite Italian music. It was a lovely experience. (Would recommend buying online tickets prior to the valley of the temples to eliminate time in the line).

Great tour
Try to buy tickets online a day or two beforehand, to avoid (possible) queues. It seems the 1st Sunday of each month is free (but not always...)

Good tour
The sites are well-known and there is not much to add. They are amazing. However, keep in mind that the driver is not your guide at the sites. He or she is just going to drop you off and pick you up afterwards. The experience with the “official” docents at the “Valle dei Templi” was actually poor (not Viator’s fault, it has nothing to do with it). No guide at all was available at “villa Romana” when we got there, though you can actually tour the site effectively on your own. My only real remark is that 2 hours at villa Romana, including lunch, were not enough. The villa is amazing and you’ll find yourself rushing through things you’d like to spend more time on.

Great trip with excellent guide
We booked this trip because we wanted to relax and enjoy the road trip and the landscape during our trip in Sicily, without worrying about driving on roads we did not know. Alessio was a very competent driver and guide and made the whole experience very pleasant.
