Agafay Desert & Atlas Mountains Day Tour with Camel Ride From Marrakech

You will be picked up from your accommodation at 9:00AM, at which point you will be taken west out of Marrakesh. The route is shaded by lush vegetation, as well as many olive and orange orchards. Along the way you'll pass through the occasional village, such as Ait imour, from where you will go off-road and drive through a completely different scenery of stone desert, barren light-brown plateau, Bedouin villages, and oases. You'll soon reach the high hills which will provide you with panoramic views over the High Atlas Mountains.

A few hours later small patches of green will start to show, and not long after that you will be back on the tarmac road side-lined by old eucalyptus trees. Through small hills overlooking the dam, you will get to the Nafis Valley by crossing Berber villages and arriving at a Berber family house. There you can visit the house and have lunch inside with a local family. Following lunch you will begin a camel ride, complete with a guide who will take you to explore the desert's wonders. At the conclusion of your camel ride, you will make your way back to Marrakesh.
