Rom was an excellent guide.. extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and well prepared. We had a great experience and highly recommend.
The afternoon was so enjoyable, guide was knowledgeable, passionate and lots of fun! We learnt about the wine region and how the wine is produced. The variety of wine was great so we could compare easily. Never thought I would see a cheese map.
We had a fantastic experience on the wine tour. It was informative throughout, and our tour guide was warm, engaging, and clearly passionate, which made it all the more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience and one I'd happily recommend.
Elysse our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the winemaking process and the terroir. She provided a detailed tour of a wine caves and multiple tastings at two locations in Vouvray. We learned so much about selecting wines. Great afternoon!
I travelled with 2 friends, Cath and Karen. We had only two days in the area and wanted to use the time well. We booked from home in the UK. On the day we were collected from Tourist Information Centre in Amboise promptly at the appointed time by a delightfully well informed Sophie, she was our guide and companion for the afternoon. We visited a field of vines, and the ages and significance of all we saw was explained. Then to the winery. Run by Brice Denay, a family concern, where we had a chance to taste several different wines. To showcase the flavours they were matched to cheeses. They were all delicious. Not something I can report often. I wish this winery was in my home town, I would replenish my stocks often. We visited another nice winery Le château de Fontenay which had different styles of wine. We particularly enjoyed their Rose fizz. Overall it was Sophie who made it such an exceptional day out.
Had a great day Rom had really good wine knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The first winery visited was our favourite
Our guide/driver/sommelier Pierre was knowledgeable and nice. He talked about the wine-growing process in general and the different wines of the Loire Valley in particular. We were a small group which makes it easier to ask all kinds of questions. Can really recommend this excursion.
We had such a fun day exploring the Loire Valley, visiting multiple wineries and exploring the countryside. Our tour guide Alycea was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, the region, and winemaking in general. We learned a lot of drank some amazing wine. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.
Our guide (Emma I think?) was so sweet and funny. We learned a lot and had a great time! Good for a hot day since the caves were cool and the van had AC.
It was really good fun with just the right amounts of information. Our tour guide was amazing and really easy to talk to
