Friendly and fun foodie experience
We really enjoyed our Adelaide Food Odyssey walking tour with Radelaide Tours. From the outset, organisation and communication were excellent, and everything ran smoothly on the day. I also appreciated that this is a genuinely local business which added a personal touch to the whole experience.
Our group of five family members ranged in age from 23 to 81, and the tour catered comfortably to all of us. Although it is a walking tour, the amount of walking was very manageable (our 81 year-old mother had no difficulty at all). The pace was relaxed, never strenuous, and made smart use of the free tram for the longer section of the route — keeping things easy for everyone while also giving us familiarity with using Adelaide’s tram system (helpful for the remainder of our stay in Adelaide).
Dax, our guide, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Adelaide, its food culture, and the local tourism industry. We learnt a huge amount about the city — its history, culture, and plenty of interesting facts. He was happy to chat about a wide range of topics and made the experience feel personal, engaging, and fun.
We visited a number of local gems that we simply wouldn’t have found on our own, with a focus on locally owned and operated businesses that have a long and strong history in Adelaide. The food selection was excellent, with a mix of savoury options, sweet treats, and snacks to take away with us. A couple of standouts for us were the Dumplings and the Portuguese Tarts. It was also a nice touch to finish the tour at a coffee shop near the Central markets where we could linger or go back to explore the Central Markets further.
Overall, this was a wonderful tour that showcased Adelaide’s food scene in a friendly, fun and relaxed way. It exceeded expectations and I’d highly recommended it.

Great way to feed your head and belly!
I was told I would be the only person on the tour. Other tours would cancel but Dax said he would go ahead (other tour operators, take note!). A local, Dax was incredibly well versed in the history of Adelaide and his love for the city showed. I was well stuffed by the end from Korean dumplings to vegan Greek ( you wouldn’t know) to wine samples, desserts and coffee while exploring for two and a half hours. Highly recommended.

We hope you enjoy the Fringe Festival and we will see you back in Adelaide when you bring a Broadway show (maybe Operation Mincemeat) to our beautiful city.
Kind regards,

A wonderful experience
Having Ryan as host and guide, made our liesurely stroll through parts of Adelaide we had not seen, really interesting. The sampling of food and wine ( the talk with the head sommelier was special), gave glimpses into several different cuisines. Visiting the central market and finishing with coffee, completed an excellent experience with Ryan.

Best food tour
This was the best food tour I've ever been on. Perfectly paced, top guide, interesting stories about the city and really tasty food stops that I wouldn't have found myself.
It was so enjoyable I want to take family members on in as a birthday gift. Really well priced for the amount of food included too.

Ask for a pie floater
Solid tour. We especially enjoyed the food/picnic on the hill overlooking the city. Make sure you get a pie floater. It's a great way to explore North Adelaide.
