I had a really great time during my tour. Thanks to Alex and Daniel who made the experience extraordinary. We got along very well and I felt like I was hanging out with friends rather than on a planned tour and this is exactly what I like and I enjoyed it. Itinerary was flexible and I managed to see what I wanted and could, during my short layover in Addis. We saw the view from Entoto, been to Mercato, went for a coffee, saw the city centre and at the end had a local meal, which was delicious. I managed to see the real Addis Abeba not only touristic places, which was my goal. Thanks for the the experience, highly recommend and I wish to come back one day! Cheers to Alex and Daniel! All the best, Wojciech
We explored the main sights, drank amazing traditional coffee, and ate great Injera. As a photography enthusiast, I really appreciated that the guide was flexible and never rushed me when I wanted to stop and take photos. The logistics were flawless, and they got me back to the airport with plenty of time for my connecting flight.
I had a fantastic experience with Dan who was very friendly and gentlemanly. We learnt from his knowledge of history and contemporary Ethiopia. Some of the activities we undertook included horse riding and hyena sighting. We shared a final glass of native wine (tej) at the end of the day marking an important part of our introduction to the Ethiopian evening hangout.
I did this tour during my passage through Addis Ababa and the tour was sensational. The guide Daneil took me through the main places of the city, passed me all the information, and what I liked most was that I had the feeling that I was walking with a local friend who loved the city, because he left me very happy during the tour. I highly recommend this tour and the next time I return to Ethiopia I will definitely look for Daneil again to do other tours. Perfect script, excellent guide.
We had a very fun and enjoyable day around Entoto mountain and Addis Abeba with our guides Jonas and Daniel. The horse riding was a great experience and they also took us for traditional coffee and lunch and on a hike to the hyena's! They did everything to make the day a big succes. Highly recommended and I would book again.
We had an amazing guide, Daniel, who was the best guide we ever had. He was very kind not only to us but also while interacting with other locals, treated everyone with so much compassion. We talked and joked a lot, got to know many new interesting things. We felt 100% safe with him at all times, he showed us everything we wanted to see and more. I recommended him to my friend immediately and she booked a trip with him for the next day, came back very satisfied. If I'm ever back in Ethiopia, I'm definitely gonna book another trip with Daniel.
We had an outstanding culinary tour in Addis Ababa, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The experience was thoughtfully curated, giving us a genuine taste of Ethiopian cuisine while also introducing us to the culture behind each dish. Our tour guide Alemu exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Ethiopian food and traditions. They took the time to explain the ingredients, preparation methods, and cultural significance of everything we tried, which made the experience far more meaningful than just sampling dishes. They also created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that made it easy to ask questions and fully enjoy the tour. A special mention also goes to our driver, who was professional, punctual, and navigated the busy streets of Addis Ababa with ease. Having such a reliable driver made the whole experience smooth and stress-free, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying the food and the journey. Overall, this tour was a perfect combination of delicious food, cultural insight, and excellent service. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Addis Ababa.
I was so interested! It was very interesting. I could see him making coffee. Teddy was a very good guide.
I had a fantastic day with Alamu on this City Tour. He showed me also things which weren't in the itinary, which I thought was great. His English is excellent as is his personality. We are still in touch today and I will book always again with him, whenever back in Addis Ababa.
Here’s a more personal version that includes your first solo trip to Ethiopia: As a first-time solo traveler to Ethiopia, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! This tour made me feel safe, welcomed, and excited to explore such a beautiful country. A special thank you to our local guide, Dani, who made the journey truly memorable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing Ethiopia’s rich history and culture. His insights and warm personality made it easy to enjoy every stop and helped me feel comfortable traveling on my own. Visiting the National Museum was fascinating, Mount Entoto offered breathtaking views of Addis Ababa, and exploring Mercato was a vibrant and authentic cultural experience. I also loved trying the delicious shekla tibs and taking part in the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony—one of the highlights of my trip. Everything was well organized from start to finish, and I genuinely felt that I experienced the best of Addis Ababa in a single day. I highly recommend this tour, especially for first-time visitors and solo travelers. Thank you, Dani, for making my first trip to Ethiopia such an unforgettable experience. I hope to return someday!
