Experience the riveting journey of the city’s transition to democracy as you admire the exhibits of the Archaic Gallery. Weaving around monsters, heroes, gods and iconic representations of the human body, you’ll follow the evolution of ancient art fueled by an exciting storytelling concept. Continuing to the next floor, in the Parthenon Gallery, you’ll get straight into the heart of the Parthenon and see the narrative of the Panathenaic Procession, pieced together on the frieze of the temple, coming alive. Engrossing tales from Greek Mythology depicted on the metopes and pediments of the temple, such as the birth of goddess Athena and the battle of the Centaurs, will fire up your imagination. Your tour ends with Propylaia, Athena Nike & Erechtheion Gallery presenting the culminating age of Greek style, the classical period, and some of the most famed artworks of Ancient Athens, including the iconic Caryatids, the curvaceous maidens who have witnessed the turbulent 2.500-year story of the Acropolis and are waiting to share it with you.

- Please note that for the audio tour you must have an Android or iOS Smartphone. The audio tour is not compatible with Windows Phones, iPhone 5/5C or older, iPod Touch 5th generation or older, iPad 4th generation or older, iPad Mini 1st generation.
- Make sure you have enough storage space: 100-150 MB
- Prior to your visit, download the tickets, Clio Muse application and the audio tour on your smartphone to go offline and avoid roaming charges. Proceed directly to the expedited line to get your ticket scanned. Tickets need to be either printed or downloaded on your phone
- The audio tour can be used anytime, online or offline. Use your headphones to best enjoy it
- Senior citizens from EU countries, 65 years of age and over, are eligible for reduced admission with current identification card to confirm age. However they will have to wait in line.
- Please note that upon arrival, visitors go through a security check. To avoid delays, you are asked to avoid carrying large bags and luggage
- Booking requests received between 17:00 p.m. - 8:59 a.m. will be served the next morning from 9.00 am.
- Young persons under 18 years of age, from non-EU countries are eligible for reduced admission fee, but they will have to wait in line with current identification card to confirm age.
- EU citizens aged 0-18 are entitled to have Free admission tickets. However, they have to wait in line to show ID card or passport.
- Children under 5 years of age, from non-EU countries are entitled to have free admission tickets.
- Ensure your device is fully charged prior to your visit
- Please be aware that there may be long queues at the entrance, so you might need to wait before entering.
- After booking, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to access and download your audio tour, so please check your email spam folder for this message

With spotty wifi audio guide was useless. It would have been better with head sets that picked up description when you stood in front of items. Large tour groups monopolized smaller items making it hard for individuals. Pretty boring and a waste of time best part was the subterranean city model they constructed. We skipped the walk up to the Acropolis too steep for seniors in our party.

We also advise guests to bring their own headphones for the best experience. Regarding the Acropolis, it is unfortunate you chose to skip it, please note that an elevator is available for visitors with mobility concerns. The museum was very nice and informative regarding the Ancient Greek culture. The artifacts contained in the museum were appropriately displayed. It was a bit crowded with other people at the time of our visit, making the experience seem a bit hurried, but we were free to move about at our own discretion. Overall, it was a positive and informative experience.

Informative but not very interesting. Didn’t listen to the whole thing. We felt it was a waste of money and wish we would’ve just bought a regular museum ticket and just read the plaques about the items we were most interested in.

The museum was fantastic and must not be missed. The displays are beautifully presented and the continuing excavation before you enter is fascinating

Getting to the Museum and not having tickets. Had to text and call to get them so we could enter. Had paid for the audio but did not get it!

My wife and I toured the museum at the end of our travels. We had prebooked the tickets with the audio guide program online . We were not able to download the entrance tickets until the prior evening. The instructions were not very good. First we had to download an app and sign up. We then looked for this booking but it did not show up. I texted the tour operator and in a while our trip showed up in the app. There is no human guide but we were hopeful about the audio guide. Perhaps we were not patient enough but after about 10 minutes listening to it at the museum we gave up using it. We should have just gone with the museum’s audio guide. The museum itself was quite interesting.

Navigation of the system could use a bit of simplification-if tickets can be downloaded without need to go to redemption center , make clear to customers that they can take ticket right to museum entrance. I had to contact customer support to clarify this.
