Great variety of taco restaurants and our guide was excellent at providing the background at each restaurant.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and even got us a special treat when we mentioned we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The tacos were delicious and a great variety. I loved the mezcal cocktail toward the end of the tour.
Carlos was a GREAT guide who told us the history about each type of tacos, mezcal and eatery we went to. Food was delicious! Be prepared to eat a lot on this tour…I would highly recommend this tour for others who want a good variety of tacos to experience.
Highly recommend this experience!! The tacos were outstanding, learned much about mezcal and our guide was terrific! Walimai, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the food, mezcal and Mexico City. Wali was enthusiastic, fun and created a great adventure for us!
We started our time in Mexico City with a taco and mezcal tour and it was a perfect introduction to the rich culture, food and drinks that this city has to offer! Natalia was a gregarious, passionate and knowledgeable host. Not only did we eat an exorbitant amount of tacos but we learned about the diversity of food cultures in CDMX. I would highly recommend this tour to other foodies looking to experience local taquerias. Just be to sure to pace yourself because it’s a LOT of tacos, but absolutely worthwhile.
This is one of the best Food tours I have taken. Top Three at least. our guide was knowledgable, friendly and super helpful. Ate way to much, but drank just the right amount.... The taco stops were great and the Mezcal tasting was everybit the educaiton. During the duration of the tour I want to say that we ate 11 tacos, sampled three mezcals, one mezcal cocktail, and three beers - but you do you.
If you are visiting Mexico City and looking for an authentic culinary and cultural walking tour, book with Sabores Mexico Food Tours immediately! I booked their taco and mezcal tour at the start of my trip hoping to sample some street food and meet fellow travelers. When other guests had to cancel at the last minute, Monse turned what could have been a standard group walk into an unbelievable private walking tour that blew my expectations out of the water. Monse’s energy, warmth, and deep knowledge as a local culinary expert were incredible. I thought I was just going to learn about how tacos are made and sample great local mezcal, but it turned into a rich masterclass on Mexican culture and history. We explored incredible neighborhoods, stopped at historic monuments, and unpacked the story, love, and tradition behind every single dish and family-run stop. It truly showed how food serves as a universal language of love across cultures. To top it off, Monse gave me amazing local recommendations for historic sites, cantinas, and neighborhood spots to explore for the rest of my stay in CDMX. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a group, request Monse! This was hands down the single best food tour experience I’ve had in Mexico. 20/10 recommendation!
We had such an amazing experience on our taco tour with Monse! She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and made the entire experience so much fun. We visited 5 different places and tried 9 tacos in total, and every stop was absolutely delicious. We also went to a mezcal bar where we got to try 3 different types of mezcal as well as a cocktail, which was such a fun addition to the tour. Monse was so comfortable and confident navigating the city, and she taught us so much about the food, culture, and different places we visited. One of the biggest things I appreciated was how perfectly she spoke English, since I don’t speak any Spanish. It made everything so easy and comfortable, and we never felt lost or out of place. If you’re looking for a fun, authentic, and delicious way to experience the city, I highly recommend booking this tour with Monse! The food was amazing, the experience was memorable, and Monse was truly the perfect guide. We would absolutely do this tour again!
Monse was an amazing tour guide! All of the tacos were delicious and she had so much knowledge on the tacos, the mezcal, and Mexico City’s history! It wasn’t just a tasting of the city’s food, it was a great cultural experience!
