Absolutely awesome crash course in the history of how Serbia became its own. I went with Marija and she is very knowledgeable, friendly, and will take great pictures of you if need it (aka solo traveler). I would definitely recommend.

Description
So, you have found yourself in this city of Belgrade and you have no idea where exactly you are? You are also interested in everyday world politics and have the desire to know how we got here, or where it all went wrong? Well, you are in the right place for that. Since the time of Christ, Belgrade was always an important outpost on the border of two civilizations, between the East and the West... Celts, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, Austro - Hungarians, Germans, Russians... they all fought and died to capture or liberate the White city (Beo-grad), and left their bones here. Many empires collided here, and world history was shaped on these two mighty rivers, where Belgrade proudly stands today as a Serbian capital. Let us take to the journey through time, where we explain world politics, geography, and geopolitics and more you wanted to know about the Balkans, but you were afraid to ask.

We spent 3 hours walking around Belgrade with PEDJA and it was absolutely perfect! Pedja is a passionate and very fascinating historian who was able to share the history of Belgrade with us in an incredible way. He did not hesitate to go into the smallest details so that we could understand all the secrets of the city and the history of Serbia. We visited the four corners of the city from a historical point of view while he gave us good local recommendations. Go for it with your eyes closed, really. Thank you Pedja!! 🥰
Tour operator (Ivana): super friendly and approachable. Crystal clear communication. Tour guide (Pedja): charming personality and a really nice person. Super knowledgable and made the tour very interesting with his charm. It’s more than just a history lesson as it includes the real lived experiences of individuals. Great to hear a local’s honest point of view on 200+ years of history.
Marija gave us a brilliant three hour tour of Belgrade that felt both relaxed and full of insight. She showed us the city’s highlights and painted a vivid picture of its complex history through the buildings and streets around us. The time we spent at the fortress was a real standout as she brought the site to life with detail and stories. Marija’s style was warm and easygoing yet she kept us engaged the whole way through. It was a memorable afternoon and I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get to know Belgrade.

This tour not only gives you an overview of the varied parts of old city center, but tells you how it came to be this way. T B, our guide, offered us in depth history of Serbia and its place in the Balkans, as well as the current day situation. A lot to absorb. Excellent tour.

We couldn't agree more—T.B. is an exceptional guide with a deep understanding of history and the context of the Balkans. It's our goal to not only show you the city but to help you understand how it came to be, and we're thrilled that you found the experience so enriching. Your feedback means a lot to us!
I had a one on one history tour with Tibor and it was outstanding. As a political scientist, Tibor had deep knowledge of the history and politics of Belgrade and Serbia. He used the city’s many sites to explain the history and because I was the only guest I had a great opportunity to ask many questions. I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about Belgrade’s key sites and learn about the history of Serbia.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. It’s fantastic to know you found your one-on-one tour with Tibor to be outstanding. His expertise in the history and politics of Belgrade is something we are very proud of. We designed this walking tour to be an in-depth and engaging experience, and your feedback confirms we are achieving that goal. Thank you for your kind words!
This walking tour is soooo good. All the different neighborhoods, the architecture, the fortress, and the view of the rivers at sunset👌🏼. Plus Pedja was one of the best guides I have had anywhere. His knowledge of the history and culture was so impressive, and he added lots of personal stories and random interesting facts along the way. He was very attentive to our small group, and adapted the tour to our preferences. The city of Belgrade is truly fascinating, and I’m not sure you could find a better person to walk you through it. Thank you Pedja!

Your feedback perfectly captures the experience we aim to provide with our walking tour. Thank you for your kind words about the city and for recommending us!
Had a marvellous walking tour of Belgrade with an outstanding, guide, Pedja. His knowledge of Serbian history was excellent and he combined this skilfully with unexpected stops at seemingly ordinary points, which I had previously walked by without noticing. He was able to link each site with a critical point in Serbia's tumultuous history. It also meant I got to understand the layout of the old city. Pedja was also kind and very generous with his time. He has inspired me to read more about the history of this region, but, meanwhile, gave me a university semester course in 2 hours, including over a very good coffee. It didn't rush along and we asked him a huge range of questions, which he answered carefully and wisely. Thank you so much, Pedja, for your charm and intelligence.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It’s fantastic to know you had a marvellous walking tour and that Pedja was an exceptional guide. We pride ourselves on offering an in-depth look at Serbian history, and we're so glad that Pedja’s ability to connect historical events with the Belgrade city’s landmarks resonated with you. Your review is a great compliment to our team, and we thank you for it!
