Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Tashkent with a day trip to the 7 lakes in Tajikistan
From my initial contact with the company everything has been simple and easy. They have been responsive, helpful and flexible especially when I had to cancel and reschedule some of our excursions due to illness. The flight and train bookings have been pretty good and pick ups from the stations and airports have been perfect.
Our tour guides have been very good and the accommodation has been lovely. I would have no apprehension in booking through Silk Road tours again in the future.

9-day trip - Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, Uzbekistan
Overall the experience with the Silk Road Tour team was excellent starting with a fast quote, adapted to our requirements and flexible when plans changed. We did a 9-day tour of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand. The local guides and drivers were great, knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating (even stopping at a whole series of restaurants asking if they did vegetarian food). I would definitely recommend Uzbekistan and Silk Road Travel.

An excellent “taster” tour of the major sites of Uzbekistan.
Everything went smoothly: the internal transport and transfers to and from the hotels were all on time. The guides were very good: they were knowledgeable, charming, had good English language skills and were clearly very proud of their beautiful country.

Very ducational and eye-opening
Overall, the tour was good. We enjoyed ourselves. A lot of memories. Very educational. Uzbek people are very nice and honest. Your cities are very clean. The first one-hour of the journey from Khiva to Bukhara was very uncomfortable due to very poor road condition. We were also interviewed by a government NGO. They asked me to suggest how to improve tourism in Uzbekistan. I replied that you should build more golf courses and promote 'golf tourism' This will attract high-end tourists. My other idea is for you to develop your leather goods industry.
