Wonderful, seamless safari adventure in Tanzania
We had an absolutely magical safari holiday with Lappet Faced Safaris in Tanzania. Pre‑trip communication was quick and helpful, and every detail of our journey was well organised. Our guide was professional, friendly and incredibly good at finding wildlife during game drives across Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. We were lucky to see the Big Five plus countless other species. Accommodation selections were great, everything went smoothly, and there were no hidden fees. This local operator truly cares about guest experience. Highly recommended for anyone planning a Tanzania safari!

Will come again. Recommend
Definitely would recommend Lappet Faced if you want to come to Tanzania. They respond quickly, and will provide you a detailed price breakdown so everything is transparent. Also 100% recommend our guide Ritchie. He is the best! He knows the animals so well, and found us baby cheetah!

Good
Very good, I saw all the big five, and also saw the cheetah mother and cubs, and lions mating. The hot air balloon was worth it, the hotel and food exceeded expectations, the guide was very responsible. Recommended.

One day
This was out first Tanzanian Safari. After months of email correspondence with Erick/Francisco, we decided to extend out Safari + Arusha to 11day10night, spending two nights in Central Serengeti and three nights in Northern Serengeti. Our guide Noel was aweome. He was punctual, professional and able to scan the environment while driving steadily. He warmed up on day 2, and had big smiles on his face. When we parked for animal viewing, he will have the "animal guidebook page" ready and tell us the name / species of the animals. We spotted the Big Five, The Ugly Five, species of birds, jackals and hyenas, serval cat, leopard and lions with kills, Cheetahs walking vigilantly, wildebeests crossing (10-17 minutes x 4 times) and many more. We were extremely impressed when he made a stop and backed up when he spotted a tortoise hidden among the golden dried grass/straw while we were on the dusty road. We were so glad that we had Tanzanian lunches of rice and savory stew, with vegetables, and side of juice/coke/water and apple/banana as fruits, over burgers/sandwiches. It was also with proper plate/utensils. The itinerary included a morning hot-air balloon flight with Miracle Experience. As for accommodation, it was from mid range to luxury, and we especially enjoyed our stay at Nyota Camp, followed by Untamed Migration Camp (Kogatende region). Noel would be ready and waiting for us with a clean car every morning. He emptied the trash, washed the exterior, and even organizing shoes and items that I left in the car. We fell in love with The Serengeti (sunset was amazing), had a 1.5day glimpse of Arusha (local markets, local grocery stores, well reviewed local cafe, visited a local pharmacy too). I highly recommend Noel as your guide to the Serengeti, and Lappet Faced as your operator.

Expectations exceeded
Everything was great. Communication with Francisco/ lappet faced safaris was fast and uncomplicated, we got a really good prize and all went smoothly. Pick up at the airport was good, we got a very warm welcome. We were taken good care of before and during the Safari. It was very well planed and thought through but at the same time our Guide always found a way to make it the best possible experience for our group. We saw so many animals in this impressive landscape thanks to our skilled and sharpeyed guide. Also nice was that our Guide Gabriel could speak german and english, he has a good knowledge of the wildlife, nature and life in Tanzania, so we learned a lot and had really interesting conversations. And after experiencing so much during the day we could relax in the evenings and enjoy very delicious freshly cooked food, prepared by our cook.
This Safari exceeded all my expectations.
In the end I can say, it felt more like traveling with friends than just doing a safari tour and it was really sad to say good bye. It's safe to say I would love to come back!

Unforgettable and wonderful experience
With Lappet Faced Safaris we experienced 4 wonderful days of Safari, experiencing
the Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro National Park.
From the beginning to the end, everything was perfectly organized as was the selection of both the parks and the campsites.
Our guide was phenomenal, had a huge knowledge about the country, the parks and the wildlife and we couldn't have wished for a warmer and more welcoming start to our time in Tanzania. Additionally he also speaks German perfectly, which made the days even more enjoyable for us. All in all, he was able to show us the most beautiful places, all the stunning wildlife we could only dream of and was a huge reason, why it was such a wonderful and unforgettable experience for all of us!
I would totally recommend Lappet Faced Safaris any time to anyone and could not have wished for better people to make this wonderful experience possible!
Thank you very much again for the unforgettable days!

Wonderful experience
As students with low budget we were not sure if we should really invest the money - retrospectively it was the best decision we could have made! We were warmly welcomed at the airport und felt so safe an well looked-after all the time we were extremely sad when we had to leave. All in all, there is not a single thing to criticize, everthing went smoothly and our expectations were exceeded. The food was fantastic (and a lot), and our guide tried really hard to show us the big five (which he managed thanks to his experience in finding the best spots and his sharp eyes). Our guide was very competent, fluent in german and very nice- we will definetely try to come back!

Thank you so very much. It is extra-special to receive a review, seriously, what is important for us is that you had a great trip and that you have got a good impression of our country. We are lucky to live here...and even more lucky to be able to share it with great visitors such as yourself.

We would highly recommand
We had a wonderful time during our safari Tour with lappet faced safaris! We didn‘t know what to expect since this would be our first experience but our expectations weren‘t just fulfilled but exceeded!
We were warmly welcomed by Fransisco and our Tour Guide Gabriel and were always looked after. When there was a Problem he could help us immediately and was very professional. The communication was very uncomplicated and he responded very quickly!
Gabriel is an excellent and well experienced Guide. We were brought to the best Spots to see all the animlas, the beautiful landscape and some spectacular sunrises. He was incredible spotting the animals from very far distances so that we were very lucky to see all the Big five and many more!
He is a good driver and we felt very safe during the whole time. He even speaks fluent german and knows all the German names of the animals which was great. We learned a lot about the wildlife, the Environment and the area.
The food during our trip which was cooked by our friendly cook was also very delicious.
We had an outstanding experience during our five days and it felt like saying goodbye to Friends when we were leaving.
We will keep it in very good memory and hope to Return one day!
Couldn’t recommend more!

100% safari
It was one of the best trips ever! We flew to Zanzibar and chose Lappet, already in Tanzania. We had several criteria by which we chose a company for the safari tour. One is feedback. The second is cost. At Safari Bookings, Lappet Faced Safari had a perfect rating of 5. Although there were only five reviews as well, they were all extremely positive and positive. Second and main, for us tourists from Russia - price. We signed up with 4-6 companies that offer Safari tours, and received prices from them for an individual tour (we were looking for an individual, not a group). Of all the companies, the owner of Lappet gave us the lowest price + he sent all the information, sent a picture of the guide, the car, and was constantly in touch. The choice was obvious.
The owner and our guide met us at the airport, helped us with our luggage, showed us the city, took us to the Maasai market, moved us into a nice (good by Arusha standards) house, where all the foreigners from the United States, Britain, France lived.
In the morning we started our trip to Safari. The first day is Serengeti Park, a Maasai village in Ngoro Ngoro. Then overnight camping in the middle of the national park. The camp is good. The large tents have everything you need - sockets, a sofa, tables, a bed with a baldachin, a shower and a toilet. The funny thing is, when we slept the first night, a lion would be there screaming, and the next night something would be digging pumas. Breakfast and especially camping dinner is something incredible you can't imagine. The dishes, the food, the staff, it's like an expensive restaurant. Food and drink is at the top. The variety is enormous. Casual music playing. You get groomed, you get a chair when you sit down. And then you remember you're not in France, you're in Africa, in the middle of a huge field. And that's amazing!
The second day was just the Serengeti, where we saw hippos, pink flamingos, a whole family of lions sitting in a tree walking next to our car; we saw crowds of zebras, antelopes, pumbs and some leopards, and two more dead hyenas. The third day is just the Ngoro Ngoro Caldera. There we also saw a lion, a zebra, a ghou, and near elephants and a rhino! All in all, the safari went 10 out of 10.
Separately, I want to say that our guide was as attentive to us as possible. If we said we were hungry, we'd stop and have a picnic, if we said we wanted to use the toilet, the same guy would go to certain places immediately. In addition, the guide guarded us in the park, told us in detail about animals, terrain, tribes, settlements, accompanied us to the market, chased away traders and beggars, opened doors, carried bags and performed many other household tasks. On the way, we learned that our guide had experience - 15 years of trips to national parks.
The guide also knows very well where the animals live and we drove very close to them. When talking to other tourists, we learned that not everyone managed to see rhinos or lions up close, and our guide knew where and when to go.
By the way, before the start of each day the guide asked who we wanted to see and, based on that, drew up an itinerary for the day so that we would not miss anything.
The trip was great because we got maximum attention, listened to us, and since the company started work recently - the employees tried to please us 100% to keep us satisfied and happy. That, I believe, is their advantage to date.
