7 Day - Kalahari TOP attractions

My wife and I just returned from 7 days travelling through Namibia with Wild Wind Safaris, and it was a really good trip. Everything was well organised from start to finish. Yes, you do need to wake up early some days for the drives or to catch the animals at the right time, but apart from that it is all about relaxing and enjoying the journey. Over the week we passed through several incredible places, each one completely different from the last, and the landscapes left us speechless more than once. A huge thank you to our guide, Sakaria. He was knowledgeable, kind and always attentive to what we needed, and he made the long drives feel short. But his real gift is spotting animals. In Etosha he seemed to have a supernatural power: while we were still scanning the horizon, he had already stopped the car and pointed something out. Thanks to him, we saw practically every animal we had hoped to see, and many we never expected. Suggestion to the company: some days we were on the road for 5 hours or more, and it would have been great to have a radio or some music in the car to enjoy during those longer stretches. If you are thinking about visiting Namibia, we recommend Wild Wind Safaris, and if you are lucky enough to have Sakaria as your guide, you are in for something special.

We very much enjoyed our trip to Namibia. The tour covered beautiful landscapes and we saw so many beautiful places and learned a lot. Thank you to our fantastic guide, Alion, who shared so much of his knowledge of Namibia and allowed us to see and learn so much. We appreciated his sense of humor, his deep knowledge about so many aspects of his country, his steady driving, and his company.

The whole tour was organized well. What to expect: - Beautiful landscape- mountains, deserts, dunes, natural vegetation - Be ready for the bumpy roads, first day - Breathtaking beauty- it keeps surprising you. - Accommodation will vary along the trip. What was great: Mevin, our guide, was amazing. He was knowledgeable, understanding and showed a lot of initiative.

I did a lot of research on tours in Namibia: I reviewed ay least 30 different tours from at least 7 different companies. The best prices (cost-benefit relation) and tours I found were Wild Wind Safaris. I work on environmental policy so I didn't want to go on only a Safari, but also get to have a full biodiversity, cultural and ethnic experience, and the only agency that offered this option was Wild Wind Safaris. Even if I contacted them within a relatively short time ahead of traveling to Namibia, they were incredibly efficient in sending all the required information, replying emails, organizing and booking the trip on the exact days that we needed. Leilani (our contact with Wild Wind Safaris) was always kind, efficient and incredibly pacient at our requests of information and solving some issues with had with the payment of the tour, making the preparation of the tour incredibly easy and smooth. The tour was absolutely AMAZING!!! The whole experience was unforgettable and even if it was low season, each day was full of breathtaking surprises. Namibia is a wonderful country and experiencing it with Wild Wind Safaris was the best decision and an absolute delight. Everyday left us with the feeling that things couldn't get any better, but somehow it would be even better. I must say that the perfect combination was taking the tour with Wild Wind Safaris and having Akser Simeon as our guide. He made our visit simply MAGICAL!!! Every single detail was PERFECT: places visited, cultural experience with the San and Himba peoples, food, lodges, nature, people (Namibian people are the best: warm, loving, kind and always joyful), safety, organization... the whole experience was INCREDIBLE!!! Akser is undoubtedly an EXTRAORDINARY asset for the company and he's definitely one of Namibia's assets! He is very well prepared in terms of tourism and nature, he's an excellent and careful driver, he's a super respectful person, he's always helpful, sweet, attentive and patient, he's a kind soul, and the BEST company to travel in Namibia! I can even dare to say that he was part of the highlights of our tour! We are very much willing to go back to Namibia and we would love for him to be our guide next time we visit! Namibia is a gorgeous and safe country but I was concerned about driving through an unfamiliar country so we hired a guide. Jephta Kapuenene, our guide took us on a wonderful journey across Namibia in an air-conditioned 4 wheel drive. From Windhoek to Etosha, he made our trip so easy and smooth. He was always punctual and professional. He spoke up for us, gave us good recommendations and looked after us. I really felt that he genuinely cared for our well-being as though we were family. He made sure we saw all the animals we wanted to see in Etosha. He knew the park well and was determined to meet our goals but gave us realistic expectations. We saw two lions and 2 lion cubs in our 1 and a half day stay in the park! Despite the bumpy roads and many cars along the way that had flat tires, we were unscathed. Jephta made sure to drive safely but efficiently. He even set us up for an awesome ocean tour in Walvis Bay on our free day. It was great that Jephta is a good conversationalist as there are long drives between our destinations. We touched on a diversity of topics during the tour that gave me a good education of the topography, wildlife and history of Namibia. I highly recommend WWS and especially Jephta!

The tour organized by Wild Wind Safaris was fantastic! Our guide, Michael, was incredibly professional and well-organized. While you might skip traditional safari drives in the south of Namibia, the breathtaking panoramas and stunning canyons are truly unforgettable experiences.

If you're interested in Namibia, I give my highest recommendation to Wild Wind Safaris. I've been to Africa a number of times, and this was the easiest to setup, most enjoyable to experience, and best opportunity for pictures. When I initially shopped around on the internet for a tour provider, I found Wild Wind Safaris among the best in price and most responsive to questions. I interacted a lot with Philip, who probably spent tons of time answering all my questions and seeing what he could do to help tailor the trip to what I need. He gave me so much detail that I felt prepared for a great trip. The thoughtfulness and thoroughness made it easy for me to trust his organization. Payment was easy via credit card, and reservations and extras were done effortlessly. Pre-trip was excellent. The tour was better than perfect. First, everything that was advertised in the program was followed, so I know I didn't miss a thing. I'm not sure if my guide is an animal magnet or what, but I often got to see up close ostriches, horses, oryx, rhinos, flamingos, seals, and even Pumba among others! The accommodations were all either unique or luxurious. Most importantly, they were all clean and cozy. The vehicle was comfortable (felt like a new car) and secure for all our belongings. The selected restaurants had delicious food and drink; sometimes, I forgot I was on safari or visiting a desert. Our guide Rolencia is among the best I've ever had. She made it clear she wanted my mother and I to really enjoy our trip in Namibia. She was always pointing out things we didn't know and made sure we were taken care of during meals and lodging accommodations. Whenever there was WiFi to be had, she would get the code from the restaurant or accommodations without us even asking, so we stayed connected to share pictures back home. She helped us borrow power adapters when we brought the wrong ones. She helped my mother with her baggage. She accompanied and gave her a mini-desert tour while I climbed the tall sand dunes that my mother would rather not do personally. She stopped the vehicle, every time we wanted to take a picture of something or when she knew we would want a picture of something. Rolencia was more like a family friend traveling with us on our adventure than a guide. She made us feel close to Namibia, and she even took pictures for us so we have proof. You can't go wrong with Wild Wind Safaris. They're completely trustworthy. The prices are very reasonable (and I did shop around). We felt safe. We were taken care of. We came; we saw; and we had a good time. I recommend Wild Wind Safaris because you will have a good time, too.

7 day Etosha tour. It was everything we wanted. 7 beautiful days from sunrise to sun set non stop action. We, with our guide's knowledge of the water holes and also to know the direction the animals would take when leaving one water to go to another, was amazing.The guide knew all the roads was very informative, considerate and an excellent companion for the 7 days in Etosha.. We saw every animal from little dik - dik to huge elephants and all the cats.
