6 days Umbwe route climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro

We had an incredible Kilimanjaro hiking and Tanzania safari experience with Kilisa Tours & Safaris. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania until the end of our trip, everything was professionally organized, and the level of service was exceptional. Our Mount Kilimanjaro climb was one of the highlights of our journey. The mountain guides were experienced, friendly, and very supportive throughout the trek. They maintained a comfortable “pole pole” pace, paid close attention to acclimatization and safety, and encouraged us through the more challenging sections of the climb. The entire mountain crew, including the porters and cook, worked extremely hard to make our experience comfortable. The accommodation on Kilimanjaro was well organized, with quality mountain tents, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and excellent camp service. Despite being on the mountain, the meals were fresh, nutritious, and surprisingly enjoyable. Having hot water available for washing each day was also a very welcome touch after long days of trekking. Reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet) was an unforgettable achievement. The support from our Kilisa Tours team made the summit experience even more special. After the Kilimanjaro trek, we continued with a Tanzania safari, visiting some of the country's incredible wildlife destinations. The safari was equally well organized. Our safari guide was knowledgeable about wildlife, conservation, and the national parks, and his ability to spot animals and position the vehicle made our game drives exceptional. The safari accommodations were another highlight. The lodges and tented camps were comfortable, clean, well located, and offered excellent hospitality. After long days of game viewing, it was wonderful to return to comfortable accommodation, enjoy good meals, and relax in beautiful surroundings. We were especially impressed by how smoothly Kilisa Tours coordinated the entire Kilimanjaro and safari itinerary. Airport transfers, accommodation, trekking logistics, meals, mountain crew, safari transportation, and park arrangements were all handled professionally.
