Itinerary
We drive off to western Uganda to Kibale Forest Camp, sleeping with the noises of the tropical Rain forest. You’ll stay at Chimpanzee Guesthouse, overlooking Nyabikere Crater Lake. The lake is famous for the frogs: at night they always give a beautiful concert.
Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest, At 8.00am we will start with 4 hours chimp tracking – during which you may also get to see 10 other primates! Kibale park is also known for all the butterflies and birds. In the afternoon we will walk through Bigodi Swamp (home to a community based project).
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
We will cross Kazinga Channel, traveling through Queen Elizabeth Park, and reach Kabale in time for lunch. From Kabale we will continue through a beautiful landscape also defined as the “Switzerland of Africa”: mountains, lakes, hills with cultivated terraces, tropical rain forest and bamboo forest. On the last hill the landscape unfolds beneath us, taking in the vast planes between Uganda, Rwanda and Congo, with the Virunga volcanoes dominating the view. At the bottom of the valley is Kisoro, where we will stay at the famous Travelers Rest Hotel.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
The day of gorilla tracking, you will travel by car from Travelers Rest Hotel in Kisoro to Nkuringo, in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (1hr). Once there you will first receive a briefing (7.45am) and at 8.30am you will start the tracking. Once you have found the gorillas, you will be able to spend up to one hour with them! You will be expected back to the starting point by 7.00pm at the latest. physically conditioned peoples are recommended.
Airport Transfer Entebbe
Early in the morning after breakfast you will travel back to Kampala. On the way back to the city you will have lunch in Mbarara town, and after Masaka there will be an opportunity to a stop at the Equator for photo shoots and buying souvenirs and have tea or coffee. We will then bring you back to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight back home and marks the end of the Safari Tour.

Amazing 5-Day Uganda Chimpanzee & Gorilla Trekking Experience!
From the time I was still in Japan, the team provided incredibly kind and prompt communication, always helping me find the best solutions for my travel plans. Everything felt smooth and well-organized from start to finish. Our driver, Dan, was absolutely wonderful — friendly, approachable, and always ready to help with anything. He spoke with us warmly, offered great insights about Uganda, and took the initiative to make sure the tour ran without any issues. Thanks to their professionalism and hospitality, my 5-day chimpanzee and gorilla trekking tour became an unforgettable experience. Gorilla safari in Uganda
Seeing the gorillas was absolutely breathtaking, being able to be so close to these very special animals is totally awesome. Fred Kanyongo did a very special job in organising this safari and all the late add ons and must be very highly recommended in doing so I will most definitely be returning in the future and will not hesitate to use Frec and his wonderful team again.

Best Gorillas and Chimpanzee tracking ever
We booked with Gorilla Safaris Uganda Limited for a five days Gorillas and Chimpanzee tracking. The care given to us was nice, Gorillas and Chimpanzee were very many, accommodation was classic, food was sweet and served in time from the first day up to the 5th day. We enjoyed the tracking, and we wish to book again with Gorilla Safaris Uganda Limited.

Best Gorillas and Chimpanzee Trekking
We planned a 5 days trip to Uganda for gorilla trekking, we spent 5 days in Uganda and it was excellent, five star from beginning to end. We booked our trip with Gorilla Safaris Uganda and extremely their staff was over mine expectations. The accommodation was first class and of well quality. We did Gorilla Safaris with our rangers they did everything possible to make sure we saw the big Gorillas nearby. The food was very delicious with perfect quality. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. I highly recommends Gorilla Safari Uganda to anyone...
