An amazing experience flying past the snowy mountains. The glacier landing in the ski plane was incredible. We had plenty of time between the flights to take in the beauty. Both pilots and ground staff were friendly and helpful.
Missed the Glacier heli experience from Frank Josef because of bad weather, so we had no other option, we just happened to visit the Inflite hanger to check on options and to our luck there were 2 seats available both ways on Ski Plane. We immediately jumped to the offer and it was an out of the world experience, watching the glaciers around you from the co pilot seat was out of the world. The pilot's experience about the place was amazing, one of our memorable tours of New zealand.

We do appreciate your comments around seating, space, and visibility. While weight and balance requirements are critical for safe operations, we absolutely recognise that comfort and viewing play a huge part in the overall experience. As a result of feedback, we have been in the process of upgrading our fleet, with the addition of Airbus H130s to our fleet. This will see the specific aircraft you flew in, the BK117, retired next month - May 2026. Your honest feedback has further confirmed this is the right direction. The H130 offers a significantly enhanced experience for passengers, including a spacious cabin, improved seating configuration, larger wraparound windows, and better overall visibility for all seats - all designed with scenic viewing and comfort in mind. With these recent changes we are proud to be the largest operator of H130s in the Aoraki/Mt Cook region, which reflects our commitment to continually improving the experience we offer. In relation to the fuel surcharge, this isn’t something we introduced lightly, and we held off for as long as possible. It has been implemented as a temporary measure to help offset some of the cost of the recent doubling of fuel costs here in New Zealand. We are reviewing this in line with fuel prices weekly and it will be removed as soon as fuel prices return closer to historic norms. We understand that in this instance this has all come too late to change the experience that you had but we would love to welcome you back in future if you are in the area so we can showcase our improved fleet and experience. Could not fault the staff or service, they were friendly, professional and offered a slick & super efficient service throughout our experience, which inspired trust and confidence. From. the moment we arrived at reception I knew we had made the right choice and I wasn’t wrong. Communication prior to check in had been excellent and very clear about what to expect on the day and what to bring and what is not allowed - definitely worth reading prior to avoid the pitfalls of bringing unnecessary items like hats gloves scarfs backpacks/ rucksacks. We did the helicopter up and snow plane back - both were equally enjoyable and both our pilots were very knowledgeable explaining key facts etc on route - both pilots were extremely friendly too and we were able to enough a bit of a laugh on the glacier. We were blessed by good weather too and we will return to the UK with amazing memories what more could you ask for in an experience. Loved it and highly recommend !

We did the “Ultimate Alpine Experience Combo” at Mount Cook with Inflite, also trading as Mount Cook Ski Planes and Helicopters. I provid all of that detail because there are so many operators and options for experiences that it can get a little confusing. Anyway, it was a 45 minute adventure out of the Mount Cook airfield and it was simply superb. It’s not inexpensive, but if you can afford it, I strongly suggest that you do it. The combination of flying in s helicopter among these amazing mountains, then in an ultra rare ski plane onto or off a glacier - what isn’t amazing about that??? And the ground crew & pilots just made the experience even better, thank you. And singing Happy Birthday to my wife on the flight back? Priceless. Just do it!

The weather wasn’t on our side but they kept us informed for 24 hours before and then on the day we couldn’t do the ski plane but they gave us another option. An amazing helicopter ride on to the mountain opposite Mount Cook. Outstanding views and we even landed on some snow!! Refunded issued the same day (3-5 days to arrive) for the difference in experiences. Disappointing not to get the experience we booked but customer service was exceptional

Wonderful trip with experienced informative pilots. Went up in ski plane and landed on Tasman glacier. After half an hour approx descent in helicopter - fantastic. Loved it.

It was the most expensive activity of our stay in New Zealand, but we absolutely do not regret doing it! We chose the combination helicopter + plane with landing on the glacier. Friends had advised us to take this tour to Mount Cook rather than Franz Josef — and we did well to listen. The organization is perfect from start to finish. Upon arrival, you are weighed to determine your place in the helicopter (heavier passengers are placed in the back), and then given all the instructions before departure. You then board the helicopter that takes you to the glacier. The flight is already a sight in itself: we fly over the river from the lake, then the mountains, and after a few minutes appear the eternal snows, until reaching the glacier. The helicopter then landed on the ice. We were supposed to stay for 10 minutes, but we finally stayed there for almost 20 minutes, to our delight as the scenery is exceptional. The weather was ideal: sun, no wind... a pure moment of happiness. We were even in T-shirts and shorts! The scenery is breathtaking: a feeling of absolute calm mixed with the raw power of nature in the heart of these mountains. Initially, there are many companies with several helicopters and planes on the tarmac, but once there, we only met another helicopter in private flight. Two Pilatus planes dropped off visitors, and we got back on board one of them. The return was equally memorable, with a flight as close as possible to the mountains and Mount Cook, majestic and entirely snowy. In the end, an unforgettable excursion. We paid about €450 for 45 minutes, but the experience lasted almost an hour to our delight. If you can afford it, it’s really a must: it’s a unique memory. For the record, it’s been more than 30 years since we’ve seen snow, and it was a first for our 24-year-old son. A beautiful moment, full of emotion, that we had the chance to
