Exclusive Excursions is happy be on The Great Salt Lake, which is the saltiest body of water in the Western Hemisphere. Come enjoy this experience by actually going out on the lake rather than just seeing it from the shore. We will do a short boat ride around the marina area, hear some stories, history and jokes about the lake, and even do a few demonstrations. And of course have time for a good picture or two. Since it’s only 45 minutes and the lake is so big and wide, we just stay within a mile of the marina and this tour is not a high speed boat ride because the captain likes to give commentary the whole time. Some people complain that we don’t go fast or farther out in the lake so this is why. Yes the great salt lake has bugs near the marina. They don’t bite but can swarm at times. We give you hats with nets to keep them out of your face so please take one so they don’t “bug” you. Give us a call if you want an update about the current bug situation since it always changes.

We will depart from the Great Salt Lake State Park Marina.
We will head out on the lake on our motorized pontoon boat. We will get to see some great views of the lake and shoreline. We will hear some stories, history and even a joke or two about this world unique area. Since the lake is so big and wide, we just stay within a mile of the marina since all the islands are several miles away and the views really don’t change getting further in the middle of the lake. The boat goes slow so the captain can give commentary the whole time. If you are looking for a high speed boat tour that circumnavigates the lake, this is probably not the tour for you since it’s only 45 minutes long.

Really interesting and fun. The Great Salt Lake is a place that shouldn’t be missed in your travels s it’s unique. Carlton was interesting and knowledgeable about the lake and its history and biology. It’s a beautiful place.

We had a great time. Our captain Nate was super nice and ensured we were comfortable, made some memories with photos, and let us sample the salt water. His knowledge of the lake and the reason for the lack of marine life was also impressive. A very relaxing boat ride.
Good experience learned more about the lake
We took the 45 minute cruise with Becky as our captain, wished we would have taken the 2 hour- absolutely beautiful!! We learned so much history and other fascinating things.. 15 out of 10! The entire process was way easier than i thought, from booking, to getting there, checking in and boarding the comfortable and safe boat-easy peasy!! Will definitely book again!

Hi Gymteacher14, Sorry, the boat tour wasn’t up to your expectations. Our captains work really hard to make these tours both educational and entertaining and most people do think it’s quite beautiful out on the lake. I wish the boats were a little bigger so we could incorporate some gymnasium dodgeball or if they had structures that we could do some rope climbs but unfortunately, we gotta work with what we get :-)
